is my 6990m performing as it should

I just scored 4111 on 3dmark11. is this a normal score good score or bad score.

vantage i got just over 16000

im not sure if its any good because i cant overclock my memory past 1050 and my core past 870.

my clocks were 860.1050 is that a good overclock for the 6990m?

 

I'm guessing that score for 3dmark is with tesselation off, it seems to be working as it should. As well as your vantage scores. What is your stock vantage score? What drivers are you using? Just know that some cards can overclock a lot some can't, it's just luck.

Those are normal scores for an overclocked 6990m. If you turn tess off, you'll be around 4500-4600 in 3dmark11 and 17k in vantage

i'm the exact opposite, my GPU only goes to 835, but my ddr5 goes to 1250 easily. I havent tried to go higher because it hardly makes any difference in scores. even at 1050, the 6099m has tons of bandwidth, so don't worry about it

 

I'd like to know if the 6990m performs better with image quality vs nVidia 580 card.

 

I think overall comparisons the 580m comes out on top but just barely. Then again, there are some games where the 6990m comes out on top. I would think the 580m would handle video quality better than the 6990m. In saying that, I think nvidia in general handle video quality better than amd.
