Hahahahahahahahaha! Not bloody likely. At least not with the current drivers. It may get better 3DMark scores, but the GMA950 could occasionally outscore the x200M, too, and you'd have to be absolutely insane to think that the GMA950 was the superior chip. The X3100 *does* have programmable shaders and, at least in theory, a hardware T&L unit, and beta drivers are promising, but any modern ATi or nVidia chip is most likely still going to be better.

There's a thread here showcasing it's abyssmal performance (and glaring graphical glitches) - and that's all using the newest beta drivers. Performance out of the box can be expected to be substantially worse. To put it in perspective, while this thing chokes at 1024x768 in HL2, my old x200M, paired with half as much RAM and a single-core processor, managed an average of upwards of 60 FPS at 1280x768 (admittedly in DirectX 8.1 mode, which looks pretty much the same, seeing as how the X3100 can't even attempt to render HDR lighting effects). For further perspective, the Go6150 is even more powerful than the x200M.

Will the x3100 be acceptable for very light gaming in a pinch? Sure. But all other things being equal, the Go6150 is a better choice. All this assumes we're talking about a laptop, of course. I know nothing of the 6150 in the desktop, nor really of the X3100 in the desktop.

Don't take away my "Intel hater's card" I just felt at some point if I just bash Intel I will loose all credibility. I know there are driver issues because like MS when you are the biggest you can release and sell BETA products. I thought it was the general consensus that X3100 bests 1150 which bests 6150 so by transference X3100 bests 6150, oh and 6150 "stripped edition". See how dangerous common sense can be. Watch out kids be careful. :D

Well I have heard the 6150GE can run cs 1.6 (NOT SOURCE) at 100 fps,so you think it can run cs 1.6 at 100 fps?

you ve "heard" running on 100fps but i don;t think that is right unless they have tons of gig of ram because i an only go for 20fps perhamps or so...
    ------------------------------
x3100 is better on the side taht it runs on direct x 10 but like intel 950
it might perform not better in games than 6150

I would think the x3100 could run regular CS fine.

Now if you want to get into the FPS race then you should not be looking at a business/mainstream workstation graphics card which the x3100 is...look at something with nvidia or ati graphics.

I know some dont have the option, but for me a laptop for work and desktop for gaming is still the best.

Getting into an FPS race with an integrated card is like winning the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still...yeah, I'm not gonna finish that.
