I was surfing newegg and found that they are selling AMD upgrade coupons to download Battlefield Bad Company 2. It is half the price of the retail edition. Is this a legit deal?

Yes. Besides if anything goes wrong I'm sure Newegg would fix it.

Newegg is a reputable site (this is the site, right?), not a smoke shady website. You should be safe with the deal.

$5.99 shipping for a coupon code?

It won't have the VIP thing either if they do that for the PC version.

PC version has no VIP, so you're probably good with the deal.

Just to warn people, I just recieved it and found out that it is not a legit deal. Ussually Newegg is a great store. It is a 10% off coupon that costs $25 to save $5. You end up paying $20 more for the game.

    Well, that sucks, sorry dude.
Contact Newegg customer service as soon as possible, they will definitely fix it for you. What a misleading title.

Wow that's messed up. You should write a review on newegg warning people about that.

LMAO, is that for real? What the... So you pretty much paid for a coupon and why is shipping so much for a piece of paper? That sucks... Anyways, I was going to say you should check out fry electronics if you have one near you house, because they are selling the game retail disk for 30 bucks.

The Steam deal was quite good too, at $33.49, but it was one day only.

This definitely makes me trust Newegg a little less, especially if they don't give you all your money back. I just hope this wasn't planned on their part, to make a quick few bucks by misrepresenting these and then not caring about losing a few customers in the process.

I really don't think Newegg is the "great store" everyone makes them out to be. I've seen some shady pricing there before, most recently selling a 30-pack of Windows licenses for $15 a piece more than if you bought them individually.
