Been having this issue and wondering how to fix it...

I'll be using a java application... then screensaver will come on after inactivity... after I jiggle the mouse to bring the screen back, the java window will be almost all blacked-out (except for text fields), and it and all other windows/images will tear if I move or manipulate it. To stop the tearing I have to restart the broswer.

It's on a thinkpad t500 with mobility radeon 3650 (256MB dedicated), and this is the only issue the laptop is having. It will play portal fine. The tearing only happens when a java app is up, and I come back from the screensaver.

    Any ideas?

    That seems to repair it.
