    hi guys.

my sager np8150 arrived today and man o man am i one happy camper.

I was worried about dead pixels, poor speakers and a faulty(hot) 6990m

the speakers sound better than my last laptop, no dead pixels, 6990m runs at 74c and damn is that cool.

first game i installed was crysis, i overclocked my gpu to 800/1000 and it ran from 30-40fps and was butter smooth all maxed. i ran the benchmark and averaged 34fps all i can say is im very impressed with this gpu.

the laptop only costed me 1600 dollars and it was worth every penny.

this is the first laptop keyboard ive ever liked, it is so easy to type with it.

how long do you guys think this laptop will last playing games at medium settings?

A couple of years at least. Depends on which direction the video game industry is heading.

Sager laptops are phenomenal. If only they offered switchable graphics for extended battery life I would have kept my NP8130.

As far as gaming, I would say two years, although depends on what happens when the new consoles are released, and who knows when those will be available?

Grand Theft Auto is a poor console port, and relies heavily on cpu clock speed, I believe.

    ^^^^ Awesome avatar oan001..
I am ready to sell my G73, want to go sager, what is stopping me is I game late at night and have to have lights off, any chance Sager will go to lit KB's ? Also I heard fan noise when GPU is used extensively can be obtrusive

I check gentechpc.com regularly and want to buy from there
AWESOME Getaway... I am very patient

I think some of their newer models next year will have back lit kbs but don't quote me on that.

glad to hear it doesn't suffer from those three issues. i was worried about the heat from the 6990 too, but it seems like most of those kinks have been ironed out

And hopefully they will have the igp enabled by then. As ht said, it's the only thing holding back these machines

posting to confirm build quality on Clevo's/Sager's is awesome. Still running with my m860tu (sig) 3 years later, it holds its own.
