I bought it a while back for very cheap as well, it's a good game to kill a few weeks, the grinding is somewhat slow.

How do you solo kill scrakes/fp's on normal / hard difficulty?

Crossbow direct headshots for hard difficulty. With normal you can solo scrakes/fps with the winchester.

You can also solo them as a berserker with a katana.

Support can also solo them on normal with AA12 and hunting double barrell. Personally I usually unload what I have left with the normal single shot shotgun and when they come close, finish off with the double barrel hunting shotgun.

But easiest for any difficulty is a headshot with a crossbow.

I have about 850. Sad, I know. But I can at least say I'm pretty good at this game, haha. I do like this game because you can easily look at the code, and derive tactics from that code.

Let's see... to stun a Scrake (That is, make him go full-retard mode where he cannot move or attack; I'm not talking about Berserker katana flinch-lock, which can interrupted if a teammate shoots the Scrake, and is impossible to do on suicidal or Hell On Earth), you have to deal about 667 damage in a single hit. That's why a level 6 sharpshooter can stun Scrake with lever-action rifle headshot, a Demo with the LAW. Depending on his level, a Berserker can stun with katana or fireaxe alt-fire backstab, or with frontal alt-fire axe headshot. You can, of course, chain stuns together ("stun-lock").

Fleshpounds have a resistance to basically all bullets. Which means assault rifles, shotguns, and so forth only do about 75% damage (don't quote me on that number). However, the FP is weak against explosives. Grenade launchers (M79 and M32) do 125% damage to him, though LAW does "only" 100%. Hand grenades and pipe bombs do a whopping double damage, which makes FP cake for a prepared Demoman or a skilled Support.

And there's some fun tricks too. A single support can kill a Hell On Earth, six-man Fleshpound with about three grenades and a couple of shotgun blasts, without getting hurt. Support can also insta-kill Scrake with katana and double-barrel.

Man, I could go on and on about game tactics and tricks. Any more questions, haha.
