after making decision to spend 25bucks
i bought bf2^^
played with single player and went to my multi.......
there comes the problem
well there is really bad lag.. so i keep losing..
anyway since it laged i free up the rams and got 256mb free and oced my gpu which made ground was blue excepct grass or buildings. however it didn't done that before i oced:
so made conclusion that caused lag and weird things:
1 i need more memory, about 1gig
2 my gpu which is really bad
3 better ocing utility

As you already stated, the 200m is no graphical powerhouse. What kind of settings are you using? More memory is always better--check out www.newegg.com if you're in the states. I don't know that you need a "better" OCing utility, what you described sounds like artifacting to me--you are pushing the gpu further than it can go and it is making mistakes. Try a more conservative OC.

i get lag on bf2 & 2142 (w/e) even with a go7600 and I don't know why and it sucks because the package was $50 and its just basically sitting. i think a lot of the servers i connected to were just junky. alot of them had high pings.

i dont play bf2...yet...but i want to start doing so. ive read through pretty much every single thread about bf2 on this forum, and from what ive read it sounds like bf2 needs a gpu with dedicated memory, and having 2gb of RAM definitely helps.

you shoudl get 2 gig of ram and that will elp a lot plus your video card isnt very powerful and you are probably ocing yoru card to much i wouldnt oc especially sence you need 512 free ram at least to run the game and you said you only have 256 mb free

Yeah, I lagged with my X700 as well..... Unfortunately. What you can do is end processes, turn off anti virus and turn down qualities in BF2 plus turn off VOIP.

I don't know how you even ran the game with 512MB of system memory, and you have an integrated graphics card. I would suggest 1.5GB, that will provide a noticeable performance increase and will actually give your notebook a chance at playing newer games like Battlefield 2. That game needs a minimum of 1GB to run smoothly from my experience.

Even with all the ram in the world, the best playable experience you will get out of BF2 with an X200 is all settings on low.

guess what???
i am running at 125mb at average but use mem free which makes it to 256mb actual phisycal mem. i do have some 3anti virus running i can make it lower
but i can upgrade my rams in the future
Or buy new laptop with high graphics later when i have enough money
lag in bf2
