    i'm using a dell inspiron lap. it isn't a gaming lap but i used to do lot gaming on it. will it affect the health of the lap? can it reduce the lifetime of the lap? which part will get more damaged 'cause of it?

    Playing graphics intensive games causes more wear and tear on the CPU and GPU than say, browsing the internet, but it shouldn't be enough to appreciably shorten the PCs lifespan. I wouldn't worry about it.

    ^^ This... just make sure temps don't exceed 90C. Less than 80C is best. Otherwise game away.

    Games are just software..........as others have said keep an eye on your temps and your computer will be fine. The CPU and GPU don't care what 0's and 1's they process so games or intense video editing, autocad or any other resource instensive software will have the same effect on your hardware.

    Probably the most important thing is to clean out your fans and where ever you can get to in your laptop with air. Blow out your vents and clean your fans. Keep the airflow clean. Heat is what will most damage your hardware.
