Alright, I went ahead and installed the 91.47 drivers from laptopvideo2go.com ( http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10835)

I'm downloading 3dmark 06 now to see if it gave me a performance boost. I just have one question, I noticed that in the comments section is says that the 7900gs (which is the graphics card in my laptop) is supported with the orignial inf. SO, I just downloaded the drivers and installed them, without getting the modded inf (also because I didn't think of it before I did it, and not entirely sure how I would use this modded INF, my first time installing laptopvideo2go's drivers). Did I do this correct? Or did I screw it up?

Edit: Almost forgot to say, I followed these directions here for the installation (not sure why this would be relevant, but it could be).

I installed same drives as you but with modded inf. Since we have almost identical laptops we can both ran 3dmark 06 and compare the results to see if there are any differences :)

I haven't used 3dmark in years though (downloading it now). What 3dmark settings do you use?

Wow, I just ran 3dmark 06, and got 3469 3d marks. That is the same EXACT score I got with the dell stock drivers, roflmao, I can't even duplicate results like that when using identical drivers. I might try overclocking this a little bit (haha, you up to that? there is a really good guide here on the forums, looks like a breeze). Just a SMALL jump in speeds, nothing huge.

Edit: almost forgot about the settings, I use whatever 3d mark leaves them at, but in case it sets yours differently here is what I have:

Tests: both sm2.graphics, both cpu tests, both hdr/sm3.0 graphics
Settings: 1280x1024, no AA, optimal filtering, HLSL PS/VS both set at 3_0 and repeat tests off

try playing some games, somtimes they "feel" better, like they are more smooth ect, even though the 3d mark didn't go up.
