Any suggestions on lightweight games that are high quality and have low requirements?

Im talking games like Monkey Island Series, Civilization, Warcraft III. Personally, I enjoy these games more than the "latest and greatest". Recommendations?

    what are you interests.

    empire earth
    hearts of iron 1
    aoe 1, 2
    patrician 3

could probably think of more. patrician 3 is a killer if you like somethign thats a bit different. the ship combat is pretty average, compared to say EIC but the trading beats EIC by a long shot.

Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2. They are easily 2 of the best PC games ever made and are right up there with Half-Life, Quake, and Doom.

How "low" is low requirements? Is an HD4570 low for you or a GMA950 low for you? :p

Sounds like you might like DEFCON.
    http://www.introversion.co.uk/defcon/

Very nice looking game in terms of design, offline AI game play is bland. Online game play is excellent. :D Whats not to love about shooting dozens of nuclear missiles at each other?

You can get it directly from Introversion or from Steam.

That Patrician 3 really interested me - have to go lokoing for that one when I get home... but I see Wiki says that there is a planned release of Patrician 4 in 2010 - anyone know if this is likely?

i don't know. there doesn't seem to be virtually any information about it. kalypso media seem pretty crappy with their reporting too.

I picked up patrician 3 for $10AUD so your probably able to get it for 1 or 2 bucks in the US.

this forum seems to eb the best with regards to patrician 3 info though www.drunkenscotsmen.com/TSR/viewforum.php?f=4

Neither of them are lightweight games. But agreed excellent games.

I'd recommend Torchlight also. Also World of Warcraft if you liked Warcraft 3, just the MMO version, graphics fairly similar.

Defiantly Trackmania Nations Forever. My older integrated graphics suck, but I can run it to the point where it looks good. So for you, it should run with all the nice looking stuff on I guess.

I would try and avoid that, because even games like civilization 4 won't run great on integrated.
