alright so i have alot of games like doom 3 , hl2, css, and elder scrolls oblivion, and im kind of looking for some new type of game type thats just alot of fun. like some type of game like "fuzion frenzy" or "prince of persia" type game, like the ones that are just fast paced and fun. preferably one thats pretty popular still and has online gameplay and is fairly new. any suggestions? thanks

Try Tomb Raider: Legend. It has lots of climbing and acrobatics and such. If you have the beefy pc for it, try Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, its a Melee FPS, with magic and such. Very good (but short single player)

RoboBlitz is a fun little game. It's kinda short, but it's only $15 on Steam. It's an action platformer with puzzle solving thrown in for good measure. It's also the first PC game to use Unreal Engine 3, so that's pretty cool too.

thanks for the suggestions, i got dark messiah earlier today. its alot of fun, and the slow motion effects are really cool. i downloaded it from steam, and it seems there are a lot of glitching problems still with it though, so hopefully a patch will fix those. plays fine at max res with no lag to and sometimes the whole game just freezes and i have to restart my computer. oh well hopefuly it'l be fixed soon.

Yeah I've had it crash like that a couple times on my old comp. I think it may be something with ATI video cards; since it doesn't seem to do it on my comp with a geforce.

I also had problems with the computer freezing when running Dark Messiah of might and magic, but that was fixed after i updated the GPU drivers. I think I was using 7.1 when i played and finished the game. Now im using catalyst 7.3.

    Are your drivers updated?
If not i strongly recommend that u do.

and a friend told me that typing "picmip 1" or "picmip 2" in the games console thing helps sort out the problem of comps freezing.
Bring out the console thing (i think thats wot its called) in the main menu and type "picm" and u should see the autocomplete pop out underneath... u can try doing that.

Red Orchestra is a fun realistic WWII FPS. It is my favorite game and has a good multilayer community. It is nothing like COD btw. :p

Same problems for NVIDIA - I played HL2 with some random lockups, and when Is started playing episode one suddenly it got much worse. My FPS will be 30-40 and suddenly the game just freezes for a few seconds to a minute, then goes on like nothing happened. I'm sure more ram will help, but it definitely is an ongoing bug with steam, MANY people with adequete systems have encountered this.

ok heres the exact message. "setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. setup will not exit" thats what it said when i downloaded this driver. http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/xp/radeonx-xp.html . after i tried the mobility radeon one and that didn't work eather, but ididn't think it would because im not on a laptop im on my imac on bootcamp. does anyone know how i can get a driver that will install over bootcamp for the x1600. pleaseee. thanks.

if you want a game similar to prince of persia get the new teenage mutant ninja turtles. its made by the same people and its the exact same type of game. its also based on the new movie.

another one is the new splinter cell which is also made by ubisoft
