I'm am interested in purchasing the sager np5790. i priced it out at 2300 with all the upgrades i need and the 2 year protection plan. i also priced out an asus G1S-A1 at 2100 with everything i need and the protection plan.

my problem is i want they 15.4 inch notebook as i will be using this laptop for school and more then likely taking it to and from class a few times a week. i just CANT stand the fact that for 200 dollars more i could get a MUCH MUCH better laptop even though 17 inch notebook may be to cumbersome.

im just looking for some input from you guys.

Depends on what you want really... If you are a strong guy and want the best gaming performance then go for the Sager. If you're not, then go for the Asus one. I personally think it would be really heavy to carry a 17" around school a few times a week... Since I'm finding my 15.4" not exactly light with all the other books when I do take mine to uni. >.<

I didnt mind carrying around my E1705 to and from study hall a couple times a week. I would get the Sager and buy a nice 17 inch laptop backpack off of newegg and youll be all set. With a backpack made for your notebook, you wont notice the difference between that and carrying books. Just my two cents.

PS: 17 inches of WUGXA or any other high res is truly a treat for games and graphics.

Personally for school, I'd check out the Asus V2S-A1. It's very portable and should do decent on games with its 8600M GS. It's priced in your range also.
