I was looking at some of the reviews of the m1210 and people are getting around 2000 with 3dmax 05, I only seem to get 1000-900... is anything wrong with my settings or card?

    -my specs are-
    M1210 T5500 (intel core duo2 1.66mhz)
    1g ram
    nvidia 7400go 64 dedicated 192 shared
    9-cell battery

Yours is 64MB dedicated. Others have the 128MB dedicated version.

I would change your video settings - go into Desktop Properties, Settings tab, Advanced button, then go over to the Nvidia tab. On the menu options that come up, there should be one for battery/PowerMizer. Change that to Optimal Performance when plugged in if it isn't already.

And if that doesn't work, then I would recommend upgrading your video drivers; there is a guide at the top of this forum detailing the process.

As jetstar said, you do have the 64MB dedicated Go7400 in there, but that performs very similarly to the 128MB dedicated version because Nvidia's TurboCache shared memory system works really well.

I have done so and nothing seems to have changed, I will try the BIOS. I understand that it is 64mb shared vs the 128, but I am more than certain that the m1210 from abaxter's review is 64mb shared dell m1210

you should definately read the posts about video card drivers..check out LV2G for the 84.63 drivers I believe it is, from what I have read those perform best for the Geforce Go 7400

    Huh? There are two cards?

I ordered the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 7400 TurboCache™. There was only two choices on the USA site. This or the Integrated 950. Is this NVIDIA card the 128MB dedicated?

As it says earlier in this thread, the Go7400 in the M1210 is 64MB dedicated, and 192MB shared via TurboCache. I'll quote myself:
