i'm playing fear on a asus a8jn notebook with a go7300. it reaches temperatures of 60 to 63 degrees. after reaching that temperature, i place the laptop in front of the aircon. the temperature drop drastically to 39 degrees. is this ok to do in order to cool down the gpu??

Yup. As long as the air from the conditioning is relatively clean, no problems.

Wow, I gotta try that. At home, I have my 360 on a "vented" rack, which sits above my AC. (That's right, Dallas condos have floor-AC) It keeps that 360 insanely cold. I wondered if it was bad for it.
