Lock On Modern Air Combat is the only one and it is rather dated at that.

No news of a new one, I believe.

You can find Falcon 4.0: Alied force for almost free today, and it's really good.

Lock On Modern Air Combat is OLD... from 2004 I think :S

There are some great combat sims for xBox-360 though

Yes, combat sims are a dying art. Jane's made some of the best ones out there.

Best and most recent ones are Lock-On Modern Air Combat and Falcon 4: Allied Force. Those have dated graphics engines, but the gameplay is by no means dated and should run great on a laptop.

Enemy Engaged 2 is a decent chopper sim, but you're better off getting the original Enemy Engaged and downloading the add-ons because EE2 is full of bugs.

Unfortunately there's not much on the horizon. Fighter Ops ( www.fighterops.com) is one that has been in development for some time, but it is being developed by a team of programmers in their spare time. IMHO this will probably end up being a better sim because of their passion for the genre, and aren't out to make a quick buck.

Gone are the 90's of all the combat flight sims out there. All of those are worth a visit though, if you can look past the dated graphics. They are quality products.

Jane's Longbow 2, F-15, F/A-18 are among the best out there.

Falcon 4 Allied Force still has a strong following (visit www.frugalsworld.com). I play from time to time. But it requires a lot of patience and dedication before you can become proficient. Even after years of playing I still screw up frequently.
