Dont expect it to come too early. From what ive been reading on the Dell Forum...(on this site) many people are expirenceing delays out the wazoo. I think it has to do with the color of the Lid and the LCD type.

The Black notebooks seem to ship the fastest. Im still waiting for mine...Good LUCK!

I was going to go NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and give you a stern lecture about getting a Dell....but I guess for that price it's actually not TOO bad, haha (I just really really dislike Dell)

The Audigy Software Edition was a waste of money, and I'm surprised you spent extra $$$ on the T7500. The 8600GT will be the bottleneck in gaming, not the processor.

not really. audigy software isn't expensive and it gets you more control over the sound.

faster processors help with things outside of games, too.

Everything I have read on this site points to Audigy Software being nearly worthless for most users.

And he said it was a gaming laptop, so I pointed out that the extra .2 ghz won't be helping him with games down the road. Of course I know it will help outside of games.

Congrats man. Our comps are close to being the same. Don't worry too much about delays. The black lids seem not to be too bad. You got the WSXGA+ like me :). I havn't got mine yet I'll tell ya how I like it when I get it.

the software costs almost nothing. it doesn't really matter.

and the processor will find its use. agreed.

Yeah Sound Blaster is really good. My audio quality is a WHOLE lot better than my friends integraded. and even though laptops have one audio output, my surround sound sounds just as good as it does hooked up to my desktop.

That's almost the exact same laptop I got (except the sound and screen (I went for the 1440x900)). So far I love it. I'm getting 50+ fps on CS:S on high settings and 90+ fps on Half-Life 2 on high settings.

Which of the 4 displays would best serve gaming purposes?

Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800)

    Anti-glare, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800) add $0

High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1680x1050)

High Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1440x900)

    Thanks! :)

Glossy, widescreen 15.4 inch display (1280x800) is my pick but I like to game in the dark. If you plan on using it outside or in bright light go with non-glossy.

To OP, nice machine, I'm sure you got a good deal on it.

I know that lots of people don't like Dell, but it's hard to argue with the bang-for-the-buck. If I had more money, I'd go for a high-end Sager or Alienware or such, but as it is, I'm pretty happy with what I was able to get for the price and I'll just live with mid-range settings on games.
