So I've been trying to figure out why the heck 1) I can't find, and have never found Powermizer anywhere on my G1s (8600m GT), 2) why my OCs are always so unstable, and 3) Why I can't find any features under nTune to let me use it to OC my card; all I can use is the nMonitor!
So I tried to uninstall nTune to install it afresh and it wouldn't let me!
"This software requires an NVIDIA nforce2 or nforce3 motherboard...installation aborted. No required products detected."
This is starting to get me worried.
I've already unsinstalled the drivers, did a clean wipe with drivercleaner, and still the program won't uninstall.
Until you guys point me in the right direction, I'm just going to install the 169.09 drivers and fiddle around...what gives?

I cant say somehing about this problem as i never face it and dont have an idea that why you are having such kind of problems. This is really sad.

There are no Nforce 2 or 3 (btw these are old, 2002-2004) notebook boards. You have an Intel chipset.
Don't bother with Ntune, just get Rivatuner. It works with the newer drivers just fine. -
Maybe it's a very old program that can only work with nvidia chipsets and was written before nforce4 came out. Also, your notebook has an intel chipset

I don't get it, though....there are tons of people that can overclock on their G1S using nTune instead of RivaTuner, and I'd like to be able to do the same. The nTune I'm trying to install is the absolute latest off nVidia's website...
I was hoping this might be somehow linked to why my 3dmark06 scores vary so wildly when I overclock. I can't seem to get a stable, high score. When I do get 4500+, it lasts until I reboot, and then is permanently cut down to something like 3300-700, and I have no accesss to "powermizer".
Maybe I should format or recover?
nForce2 or nForce3 motherboard?! What da eff?
