*with strange self-respectful voice: Will it work on TVs? - LOL facepalm. I have a feeling that most of visitors there know nothing like that guy who asked that question so the auditory would fit " nobody asks smart questions and we don't sweat answering them" category.
Frankly I myself had tough time understanding all that and can't stop feeling that nvidia is trying to fool me with this Fastsync.
There was one smart man who compared this fast sync to a triple buffer and in reality Fast Sync IS a Triple Buffer with whistles. Those whistles are that it works on any game, even Dx while previously you had to use 3d party tool and it added 1 additional frame of latency (because it was fake triple buffering).

Again: all in all nvidia just brought Triple buffering with enhancements. Same like an Adaptive Sync versus Vsync.

I am so lost with all this VSYNC, Adaptive VSYNC, Triple buffering, GSYNC.

Like if I have GSYNC on, is it ok to have VSYNC off and I still wouldn't get tearing or shall I leave VSYNC ON, also, doesn't triple buffering hurt performance as the frame is rendered thrice?

Man, let me add more dirt to the swamp you are in right now. When you use Gsync - it's great for lower framerates which don't exceed max monitor's supported frame rate. While Fast Sync does great job at very fast fps. Soooo...
So in one year Nvidia brings Adaptive Fast Sync which works like this: Gsync, Fast Sync OFF Mode at FPS < Max Monitor's refresh rate and Gsync, Fast Sync ON when frame rate is 1.5-2X above.

In reality that guy told that this feature only works when FPS is multiple times faster than Monitor's refresh rate and so not a surprise he mentioned 60Hz monitors. Because if it is 120Hz one then there is not a big market share of customers who would use this feature. I can think of Pascal owners who still play CS, WOW, DOTA2 etc.

Fast Sync is a nice little feature but doesn't need the press time it's getting. It's has such a narrow scenario for valuable usage.

nVidia is probably so angry that they just can't use that without being made fun of relentlessly.
