    nVIDIA GeForce Driver 497.09 WHQL

Yep. Nvidia re-release a new re-hashed RTX 2060@12GB graphics card from 3 years ago. The newer Ampere cards as the 3000 series RTX is for the miners.

Let's see how much this new driver will destroy for the users :D Please post bench results. Because new has to be better @Falkentyne @Mr. Fox

Game Ready Driver Release Notes (v497.09)

    The fixed issues:
    • [Red Dead Redemption 2 / Doom Eternal]: The game crashes with TDR or the system crashes while the game is running.
    • [Doom 3 BFG Edition]: The game shows a malfunction when starting.
    • [YouTube]: The YouTube website randomly displays extreme contrast / gamma while idling or while playing video.
    • [NVIDIA Image Scaling]: After reinstalling or overinstalling version 496.49, NVIDIA Image Scaling resolutions are not displayed in the game.
    • Games will not start correctly on the GeForce GTX 750 Ti if NVIDIA Image Scaling is enabled.
    • [Notebook]: On some Optimus notebooks with 1440p / 165hz panels, a black screen can be displayed in discrete GPU mode.
    • [Notebook]: The eDP panel cannot work if the desktop is booted after switching to discrete mode.
    • Using Adaptive Vertical Sync while G-SYNC is activated may result in an accidental black screen.
    Open problems:
    • [Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition]: After trying to change the resolution, the resolution will not change and the game will fall out of IFlip mode. To accept the new resolution, press Alt + Tab.
    • [Supreme Command: Forged Alliance / Supreme Commander 2]: Performance degradation when the mouse is moved.
    • [Deathloop] [HDR]: If Windows HDR is activated, TDR / corruption occurs in the game. If this problem occurs, turn off the Windows HDR setting.
    • Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on tracks where the player is driving through water.
    • In configurations with multiple monitors, the screen may randomly flicker black.
    • [HDR] [G-Sync]: The mouse pointer gets stuck after switching on HDR in the Windows control panel or after switching G-Sync in the NVIDIA control panel. To work around the problem, click the mouse (right or left button). The mouse pointer will be sluggish for a few seconds before it returns to normal.
    • [NVIDIA Advanced Optimus] [NVIDIA Control Panel]: After setting the display multiplexer type to "dGPU", the setting is not retained when S4 is restarted or resumed.
    • [NVIDIA image scaling] [Desktop]: The screen is moved to the upper left corner on cold start if the image scaling is applied to the desktop. Do not apply NVIDIA Image Scaling to the desktop. It is only intended for video upscaling or games that do not run at a scaled resolution unless the same image scaling resolution is applied to the desktop.
    • NVIDIA Image Scaling] [DirectX 11 video applications]: If you need to switch video playback with HDR via the Microsoft Control Panel while image scaling is enabled, make sure you are using a different image scaling resolution.

At the very least they implemented the hotfix for 1440p, 165hz panel on systems with Optimus; that was a fun little bit waiting for that hotfix to arrive. Nice to see it in the newest main release. So far, not much of a performance difference for me, but I'll see as the days go on.

Crying internally as Battlefield 2042 still runs like dogwater
