As with every released driver, version 398.82 WHQL of the Release 396 driver has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. I will give the development driver a go second time. Do we still need PhysX for batman AO,witcher3 etc...? I'm tired of 500-600MB of PhysX folders taking up disk space. Any way to trim the old editions and use only new versions?

 

I must say, this is the least posts thread for an nVIDIA Driver. Only 5 posts?! I guess people have given up on Mr. Manuel from nVIDIA

 

You really reconsider the usage scenario of some product if it takes hour to search which one is safe to use

 

May I ask what would happen if I installed it on an unsupported device with an GTX 1060?
Will it go up in flames or Windows will reject the driver?
What's the benefit of using your modded inf files,Vulkan developer drivers,etc...
Does anyone still get affected by the Optimus stuttering?They said that the issue can only be fixed by installing the latest drivers from NVIDIA and Intel and it's partially fixed.

NVIDIA today released a small, yet seemingly important enough update to their GeForce driver suite. Shipping under the 398.96 beta version, the new graphics driver specifically addresses an issue whereas Windowed G-Sync mode might stutter after upgrading to Windows 10 April 2018 Update. There's no other declared features in the release notes, so if you've been experiencing this issue, just make the jump. You can grab the drivers below.
