Game Ready for Zombie Army: Dead War 4
The new Game Ready Driver provides the latest performance optimizations, profiles, and bug fixes for Zombie Army: Dead War 4. In addition, this release also provides optimal support for Apex Legends Season 4 and Metro Exodus: Sam’s Story.
Maximum Framerate
In the last Game Ready Driver, we introduced a new Maximum Framerate Setting into the NVIDIA Control Panel which allowed gamers to set the max framerate a 3D application or game can render. With the latest Game Ready Driver, we’ve incorporated community feedback asking for the limits to be extended. As a result, framerate limits can be as low as 20fps and can be raised as high as 1000fps.

TechPowerUp Releases NVCleanstall 1.3.0
by btarunr Today, 14:50
TechPowerUp today released the latest update to NVCleanstall, our lightweight utility that lets you heavily customize your NVIDIA GeForce software installation, letting you choose not to install a lot more components than what NVIDIA's installer allows. You can disable installation of components you probably don't need, such as telemetry. Version 1.3.0 introduces the ability to install the NVIDIA Control Panel app from Microsoft Store without needing to log-in with a Microsoft account, for the DCH version of GeForce Software. This is particularly useful for those using the DCH version of GeForce software without wanting to log into Microsoft Store.
TechPowerUp NVCleanstall Version 1.3.0 also introduces a tweak that makes the driver use message-signaled interrupts (MSI). We have reorganized the user interface to move a large selection of advanced tweaks to their own page. As part of the driver customization process, you can make advanced tweaks in this page, or move on to building your custom driver package. We've also added the ability for you to drag-and-drop downloaded driver files onto NVCleanstall for them to be used as installer source. Lastly, we fixed background driver update check not getting disabled when its checkbox is unchecked. Grab NVCleanstall from the link below.

I guess with the introduction of 360Hz monitors they just moved the slider to 1000 lol.
Anyway I'm moving away from 1080p/240Hz/TN to 1440p/165Hz/IPS so I guess I'll be capping less -
Ironically, Game Ready for Zombie Army could aptly refer to the DCH driver users as much as the game, LOL.
Use this link instead: Advanced Driver Search | NVIDIA
Under the "Windows Driver Type" options, select "Standard" and you won't get the DCH cancer version.
Even NVIDIA acknowledges that the DCH drivers are junk.

...and then edit the setup.cfg file to remove lines with reference to the crap highlighted below. (If you don't remove those three lines, the modded driver installation will fail.)
This isn't as thorough as a @j95 mod, but it gets rid of all of the useless trash payload. -
modding the .inf file to install doesn't seem to work with this driver, anyone has any idea about this?
EDIT: fixed it, a windows update was creating the problemLast edited: Feb 4, 2020 -

These are the options I use and this is what the folder looks like.
For my laptop I would have Optimus checked as it doesn't have a dedicated Mux switch.saturnotaku likes this. -
Hey guys. Have a look here: Row Shading | HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 Bug Reports
This driver is really crappy as far as I am concerned. Caused some issues for me on Windows 7, Windows 10 Pro, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC and Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 on my desktop, and Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 on my laptop. The issue first noticed was the same across all of those installations.MahmoudDewy and Papusan like this. -

^ different branches so it might have a structure change.
On a second thought if it was causing errors across the board and seeing that you have multitudes of Windows version then it could be more driver specific rather than say a Windows update since you have 7 on there.
If you're not focused on gaming I would suggest the Studio Drivers as they're slightly more stable and less bombarded with "Game" fixes.
Another suggestion if you haven't already which in this day and age shouldn't really be needed but have been shown to fix some issues is using DDU to clear out the old remnants. 9 times out of 10 the "clean install" of Nvidia installer works just fine but clearing out the older drivers do help as well and/or having it disable Windows Update from installing its version before you install yours (symptom is uninstalling display drivers and on Windows bootup the screen disconnects and reconnects means it install an old version before you install your new version).

I almost always do this for every install in Safe Mode (hold shift+restart).
Now this is probably all irrelevant and the main issue is the tool with the new drivers but trying to eliminate all possibilities would be better.Mr. Fox likes this. -
I am primarily focused on getting the highest benchmarks scores possible, and often older drivers are the best way to do that. I do like gaming, but I don't devote much time to it and very seldom purchase new titles. So, game fixes are not often something I pay any attention to.specialist7 likes this. -
