Thats allright. I got more than enough power under the trunk anyway.
I cant even flash my cards thanks to the wonderful techteam from Dell that locked down the BIOS in my computer...

That's weird.. I have a Aw17x R4 and I could flash my GPU's using Svl7's unlocked vBIOS.. Had no problems at all.. My BIOS wasn't unlocked or anything..

Is OC available again? That's IMHO one of the most important questions. :D

edit: stupid typo by smartphone-keyboard auto-correction ...

my bad: I didn't mean operating system (OS), but overclocking (OC). looks like it is easyly misunderstood in russian language as you have the same abreviations for both. ;)

and what I have read so far, NV still insists on that "overclocking is a bad BAD thing on mobile devices! we won't allow this anymore!". maybe somebody should show them the thread about the OC-possibilities of the GTX860M Maxwell:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/gaming-software-graphics-cards/751352-860m-beast.html

on second thought: well, perhaps they knew and feared for their GTX960M ... :p

I started a thread on the Nvidia forums to try and get an official statement about the locked out overclocking and I think I might be getting somewhere. ManuelG (Moderator) just posted this "Let me look into this and have our QA verify this. I'll update everyone as soon as I have more information."

I hope this means it was simply a bug and they can fix it in the next driver update, fingers crossed.

Yeah it's quite stupid.. I have been stuck on 344.75 due to this and I would really like to upgrade the damm driver...

Guys, did you read the last answers in that thread opened by cammac66 on Nvidia forum? ManuelG said that the allowed overclock on laptop was an error, and now "has been fixed" :(. For now i will stuck to 344.75 and when a workaround wil be out, i'll update. I hope that this will happen before the launch of GTA V, i don't think that i can play it with my 850M without overclock and new drivers. :(
