Was hoping there would be mention of fixes for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Oh well, I'll try these anyway.
-
Someone on the Guru3D forums claimed that these raise performance in DE:MD DX12 for him so I think you might be in for a treat. Let us know!

It's not performance I care about (it runs decently enough at 1080p and mostly high settings on my 980M) but fixing the constant crashing that's keeping me from advancing the campaign. -

It's funny how these threads don't even make it to page 2 anymore, people are too afraid to upgrade their NVIDIA drivers and are happy enough with sticking with whatever one they are on that works.

Yeah true that. We've all been burnt by Nvidia shinnanigans at some point. Somewhere between them sneaking in clockblocking and driver crippling alot of us had had enough.jaybee83, Ashtrix, i_pk_pjers_i and 2 others like this.

i installed the drivers over the weekend specifically for forza horizon 3...will see if it runs reasonably well or not.
oh, looks like we're still on 1 page!i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
My MSI GT72s lost his CPU-Boost in games after switching to 372.90.
This is indeed very strange, i started a topic here: Thread
GPU was ok (980M) no performance loss, but my CPU clocked down to 1,6GHz when playing games, even in high perf. mode and although temps were good (as always before...)
Just switched back to 368.71 and got my full 4x3,1 Turbo again.
So if u have an MSI notebook maybe this strange driver is not for you as it somehow forces the CPU to throttle for whatever reason.... -
any one have memory leak with this driver?

forza horizon 3 feels way too unstable.
-
My trusty 369.05 is doing great for now.

You need to buy the DLC "Xbox 1" to make the game stable and fully optimized.
-
These wouldn't work for me. I had to take it down to an earlier driver. Kept getting error 43
-
Works well on Titan XP. Had the driver for awhile now.

Got this last night, which caused DX: MD to crash when using DirectX 12. Reverted back to 372.54 with DirectX 11 and all is well.

ultra crash with quantum break with this driver and the one before.. 372.90/70
edit : seems to be sensitive to OC, wierd, the maxwell OC like hell.. + 75 seemed to be fine.. Tired of testing since every nvidia crash means reboot or halved 3d performance !Last edited: Sep 30, 2016Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
seems stable at stock speeds!

Man, I am so confilcted with Windows 10 games... I wanted to just try forza apex, but I need to sign in to the xbox app before I can launch the game, and I have most of those apps, Game DVR and other things disabled..
Guess no windows 10 games for me :/ hahaha
-
you don't really need game dvr to be on nor does it act like a replacement to other options like shadowplay, fraps, or dxtory. your MS account is usually the same account for xbox live so you don't need to login twice.
-
Yeah... you see, I don't use my MS account on my laptop. I use a local account. I disabled via settings, tweaks and registry edits among other things, most of the "apps" and features like Game DVR, Cortana etc.
I have to manually log in with my MS account if I want to use the store. And it seems that due to this, I get errors when downloading and trying to launch Apex. I actually managed to download it, but it gets stuck on the screen launch. I am fairly sure I need to manually log in to the Xbox App. Which I don't want. I get it why it needs it, it is an MS game and all, but since I don't want to log into their app, I won't be able to play. -
TL: DR - you created your own problem.
-
Yep. Well it's not a problem. That's exactly how the game works. So you can say it is working as intended.i_pk_pjers_i and Spartan@HIDevolution like this.

One of the best things that I like about Windows 10 vs Win 8 is that with Windows 8, if I wanted to use OneDrive, I HAD to be logged in using a Windows Account but now with Windows 10, you can have a local account and still use OneDrive just like in Windows 7.
With that said, do you think it's safe to use a Microsoft Account with all the Windows 10 tracking and spying or is it ok?Papusan likes this. -
Don't trust a company like Micro$oft. They have a agenda with this spybox!! Either for earning more money down the road or they want to know everything about you!! Most likely both

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
So guys, please remind me, which is the current stable nVidia GF driver? Gonna be coming back to me desktop soon, so need to know which to install.

I went back to the latest one from Clevo, which is 369.26. So look somewhere in that branch as the Clevo version may or may not be the same as the nVIDIA ones.killkenny1 likes this. -
I do think its overall safe, but like you I disliked how win8 was either full MS account or nothing and reduced capabilities. I think the main issue with all the tracking with win10 is that tweaking and disabling stuff actually breaks functionality with apps.
companies do use one drive to store sensible data though. so some of it is safe haha. but yeah I dont like that much snooping around. but google is creepier hahaha.
i got forza apex working. turns out that disabling some stuff broke like 5 apps and had to reinstall them.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

372.54 has been absolutely rock solid for me. Fixed my TDRs on my desktops, works great on my laptops too.killkenny1 likes this. -
This driver has been causing some core clock issues for me (in certain DX11 games). For example, sometimes it will lock at 1278Mhz on my 1080, which is well below the base clock.
The solution was to do a clean install without the new GeForce Experience and reboot. I may rollback to 372.54 or 372.60. -
i don't have GFE installed.
-
It's a pain the butt. I had a similar issue. I use a local account. It asked for me to log in to my MS account to download Forza. I did. Well it went ahead and decided to change my system account to MS account without asking. This ended up all my video and system settings when doing so. It also wouldn't let me run the game until I updated to the latest driver.
All that being said, the game runs well for me on my desktop, i7-5820K and GTX 980 Ti at 3440x1440. Turn off MSAA and FPS is 60-80 solid so far. -
the only issue i have with FH3 is that when you're in the upgrades menu and you're scrolling though items the fps starts to chugg like a fat man running a marathon!

Wow, I'll skip this game just to avoid these although I kinda like it -
apparently there will be a new driver coming out for Mafia 3 and Gears of War 4: both games i have ready to go!
