Modded my own driver, here's what I got with the M18x R2 with undervolt GPUs, no voltage added to CPU:

I don't know what the problem is, but I can't get any driver past 372.70 to work with my EGPU Titan X (pascal) card setup. I get graphics card error 43. Everything from 372.70 and down works fine. The GXT 970 card has no problem with the newer drivers

Might be on purpose. Not like eGPUs are going to handle a Pascal Titan X well.

Yeah seems like they have pulled some funky business. I'm not sure how to fix it as well.
Well if the eGPU is connected through the m.2 ngff, things work great @ PCIe 3.0 x4.

But yeah definitely seems like NVIDIA has pulled some shenanigans.
eGPU over TB3 , is working fine for me though with the latest drivers.

Yes, but being an unsupported official configuration, it's not being cared about by them.

Octiceps told me last night that his Lenovo Y500 with 650M SLI doesn't need to reboot to enable/disable SLI. It's a proprietary bridgeless connection mainly used by Lenovo with 650M/750M/755M GPUs only as far as I know, and those cards aren't even "GTX" (since GTX is needed for multi-GPU for the most part). He doesn't even have the registry config options for dynamic SLI enable/disable. This means that notebooks requiring reboots are 100% on purpose, and the niche lenovo bridgeless SLI models don't have the gimping because they didn't bother to add it.

I've heard the same complaints from those who use the AGA as well. I wonder if MSI GS30 users can chime in as well if they're having the same problem as well.

Definitely agree. There is a quite a lot of interesting tid bits I have noticed with the P870DM-G as well. Will add to my thread.
If its happening with the AGA as well then, I'm sure it's an un intentional issue. And hopefully might be fixed soon. Or Dell might release a custom driver. Which we might be able to piggy back off of.
But that confirms it, that the AGA is basically using a fancy m.2 / ngff port with a proprietary extension cable.

I'm trying to go through the thread and look for a solution that doesn't require a lot of bits to be left open :p

Well the GPU is going into my desktop soon, so I didn't bother coming up with a casing solution. But it will be relatively easy. Specially with a modular PSU.
However I am researching, modding the Alienware GA to work with any m.2 ngff slot, or at least to be able to use that cable to make an extension for my system.

Then "Thunderbold 3" is for you.
But there is a way to make an extension. For the m.2 port, that can be plugged in from the outside.

I mean, would that really work? Even though there are PCIe lanes in the slot, wouldn't you need the necessary software?

Using the GA with other systems might need that. But if it gets connected, that wouldn't be a problem.

Crap drivers.I always got direct x hung error device was removed???and they same with drivers before this one...I almost returned to windows 7 cause i thought that the upgrade of windows 10 caused that.Luckly i rolled back to 365.10(game ready drivers for overwatch beta) and played 2hours without a crash :) I hope that i finally solved that iritating error which only occured on some games and in quantum break or forza apex never?even i used same overclock for all games
