Before installing the driver, it is recommended to run DDU to properly remove the previous driver and all of its remnants!
As part of the NVIDIA Notebook Driver Program, this is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.

I might just do it and be done with it, honestly. I swear if I get a SINGLE crash...
And I do mean "nVidrosoft", as in, "no mention of using latest AMD drivers".i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -

The other thing is, since I have 9 persian cats in the house, everytime I wanna turn it on, I have to clean the top 3 fans on the top of the case which are for the liquid cooling then clean the mechanical keyboard with a brush since it has a lot of fur under each key then I have to clean the screen, it was just too much of work everytime I wanna turn it on. With a laptop, since I close the lid before I go to bed, I simply open it and start using it.
I know I'm crazy but I missed having a laptop with all of my stuff in one small box
PS: I hope you like my new P870DM-G build. I'll post a review when I get it -

PS: DDU announced that soon since the driver updates will be offered through GeForce Experience, once you remove a driver with DDU, it will give you the option to only uninstall the drivers but NOT GeForce Experience in order for you to be able to grab the latest and greatest driver from GFE but still be in a clean install state -

Damage to my pocket / loss = $4,000 USD (heart aching) -
BUT I don't like unnecessarily updating drivers when the only thing I might potentially get is a downside. And anything past 347.88 has been so. Even if all the drivers I've used worked fine, it doesn't mean all would work fine, and the ridiculous amount of users that DO have problems still exist, and I rather not guinea pig such a driver.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Anyways, I will skip these drivers. I still have issues and I don't feel like troubleshooting nvidia every single driver release. I contacted support and they made me do a bunch of test. They couldn't figure out the problem so they said they would contact me later.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
Funny thing too, they claim how anybody who has problems should use debug mode and force any superclocked GPUs to stock speeds.
That so defeats the purpose of buying any kind of higher clocked card, it's a joke.TomJGX likes this. -

"In addition, Nvidia announced that registered GeForce Experience users who download these game-ready drivers using the company's optimization and video capture program will automatically be eligible to win prizes that include GTX 980ti, GTX 960 and GTX 950 graphics cards, games and Shield TVs. This seems like a pretty sweet deal in exchange for a few minutes of downloading and installing patches, although the frequency of the updates (considering the amount of games coming out this holiday) may make this seem tedious to some.
Nvidia's commitment to providing game-ready drivers for AAA game titles for its customer base on or before launch day seems to offer some reassurance to PC enthusiasts, who may feel disenfranchised by the recent slew of painful PC game launches ( or in some cases, relaunches) that seem to make day-one performance and compatibility issues an unfortunate expectation.
Although these problems can sometimes be less about driver compatibility and more about shoddy development, it's somewhat comforting to know Nvidia is dedicated to giving its customers the best experience possible for day-one PC game launches. Also, who can resist free swag?
You can download Nvidia's latest driver manually here, but seriously, with the opportunity to win over $100K in prizes, you may want to consider using GeForce Experience if you haven't already."
And this is how we loose part of the battle against forcing Geforce Experience to all users, with registered accounts. Why nvidia releasing drivers are news, is beyond me.

What's the current status on whether overclocking is possible on the 900M series with NVidia's latest drivers? I heard it got disabled, re-enabled, then re-disabled but I don't know where it stands now.

It's been enabled since 353.00 and later. -
At least manual download still works for the 358.87 release.
And, +125/325 OC works for 980m SLI-263 GT80.Last edited: Nov 5, 2015Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

@Ethrem @Mr. Fox
After installing these drivers, my wife's Dell Vostro 5470 fans are always blowing at full speed. I didn't notice it the first day but now I do it's very annoying. Seems like they keep the GPU clock at full speed also even in 2D Mode so I uninstalled them and went back to the latest offered by Windows updates v353.62 and now the fans are back to normal. -
I'm so done... going back to 347.88... Having cards IDLE at 47C because they are stuck on base clocks right after boot is stupid... And the video judder is REALLY not okay...

It's getting as bad with NVIDIA drivers causing issues as it has been for a while with Windows Updates cancer causing problems. Cannot trust either of them to do what it best. They must be outsourcing updates and drivers to third-world countries or using monkeys from the local zoo to help defray operating expenses for such unimportant second-fiddle initiatives as drivers and platform security. After all, those make them no money, so they are a liability rather than an asset.

EDIT: Scratch that about the coil whine... when I fired up wPrime 1024M it came back... Its not as bad with SLI enabled but really nVidia? I either have to burn my cards with them in 3D mode all the time causing them to idle at 47C (they're at 33C and 34C respectively right now on 2D clocks) or I have to put up with coil whine? I never noticed it when Sager sent it back to me because I was using the new drivers and they pretty much never left base 3D clocks... Words can not express how mad I am at the moment.Last edited: Nov 6, 2015TomJGX, D2 Ultima and i_pk_pjers_i like this. -

Proof, if I install the official driver from DELL for the Vostro 5470 which is 353.50, Windows update will automatically install 353.62 for me as well. So the later drivers aren't yet on Windows update. -

Unfortunately, even the new build of Windows 10 which will be released sometime next week only has fixes for a few glitches which they made with their BETA OS but no mentioning of any control over the automatic driver installation!i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
