Download (Choose your OS / GPU)

Before installing the driver, it is recommended to run DDU to properly remove the previous driver and all of its remnants!

As part of the NVIDIA Notebook Driver Program, this is a reference driver that can be installed on supported NVIDIA notebook GPUs. However, please note that your notebook original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides certified drivers for your specific notebook on their website. NVIDIA recommends that you check with your notebook OEM about recommended software updates for your notebook. OEMs may not provide technical support for issues that arise from the use of this driver.

    Before downloading this driver:

    1. It is recommended that you backup your current system configuration. Click here for instructions.

Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix possible makes it into the Game Ready driver. As a result, you can be sure you’ll have the best day-1 gaming experience for your favorite new titles.

    Pshh. I express install.

I might just do it and be done with it, honestly. I swear if I get a SINGLE crash...

No, @pcdev on twitter strongly recommended using the latest nVidrosoft drivers.

And I do mean "nVidrosoft", as in, "no mention of using latest AMD drivers".

Sold it almost 10 days ago man. I've been using laptops for more than 10 years and despite the amazing power of the Origin PC Millennium, I just felt very uncomfortable, too many wires, for keyboard, monitor, etc, wasn't to happy.

The other thing is, since I have 9 persian cats in the house, everytime I wanna turn it on, I have to clean the top 3 fans on the top of the case which are for the liquid cooling then clean the mechanical keyboard with a brush since it has a lot of fur under each key then I have to clean the screen, it was just too much of work everytime I wanna turn it on. With a laptop, since I close the lid before I go to bed, I simply open it and start using it.

I know I'm crazy but I missed having a laptop with all of my stuff in one small box :D

PS: I hope you like my new P870DM-G build. I'll post a review when I get it

80% of the problems I read on other forums pertaining to a driver are because they didn't use DDU and once they did, those problems disappeared. Just a thought ;)

PS: DDU announced that soon since the driver updates will be offered through GeForce Experience, once you remove a driver with DDU, it will give you the option to only uninstall the drivers but NOT GeForce Experience in order for you to be able to grab the latest and greatest driver from GFE but still be in a clean install state ;)

Don't get me wrong. If I ever have problems, DDU is the first choice. BUT. I've never had problems. I can overclock, I don't get game crashes, etc. 350.12, 353.06, 355.60... all work fine for me.

BUT I don't like unnecessarily updating drivers when the only thing I might potentially get is a downside. And anything past 347.88 has been so. Even if all the drivers I've used worked fine, it doesn't mean all would work fine, and the ridiculous amount of users that DO have problems still exist, and I rather not guinea pig such a driver.

Me too. I ran without it for a while but when I tried to use my TV, sound was not working.

Cool, as long as the option to completely remove it remains in place.

Anyways, I will skip these drivers. I still have issues and I don't feel like troubleshooting nvidia every single driver release. I contacted support and they made me do a bunch of test. They couldn't figure out the problem so they said they would contact me later.

Funny thing too, they claim how anybody who has problems should use debug mode and force any superclocked GPUs to stock speeds.

That so defeats the purpose of buying any kind of higher clocked card, it's a joke.

"In addition, Nvidia announced that registered GeForce Experience users who download these game-ready drivers using the company's optimization and video capture program will automatically be eligible to win prizes that include GTX 980ti, GTX 960 and GTX 950 graphics cards, games and Shield TVs. This seems like a pretty sweet deal in exchange for a few minutes of downloading and installing patches, although the frequency of the updates (considering the amount of games coming out this holiday) may make this seem tedious to some.

Nvidia's commitment to providing game-ready drivers for AAA game titles for its customer base on or before launch day seems to offer some reassurance to PC enthusiasts, who may feel disenfranchised by the recent slew of painful PC game launches ( or in some cases, relaunches) that seem to make day-one performance and compatibility issues an unfortunate expectation.

Although these problems can sometimes be less about driver compatibility and more about shoddy development, it's somewhat comforting to know Nvidia is dedicated to giving its customers the best experience possible for day-one PC game launches. Also, who can resist free swag?

You can download Nvidia's latest driver manually here, but seriously, with the opportunity to win over $100K in prizes, you may want to consider using GeForce Experience if you haven't already."

And this is how we loose part of the battle against forcing Geforce Experience to all users, with registered accounts. Why nvidia releasing drivers are news, is beyond me.

Because giving away crap is always news in the PC gamer userbase that always dives on free stuff and sales. They're giving freebies to people so they get false support in their endeavours. I signed up with the account to try gameshare one time and I already am signed up and logged into GFE, but that was for the purpose of gameshare alone that one time. Which I can understand needs an account, because otherwise there's no way to send an invite to someone on some other network. I'm still not using GFE for drivers.

What's the current status on whether overclocking is possible on the 900M series with NVidia's latest drivers? I heard it got disabled, re-enabled, then re-disabled but I don't know where it stands now.

ryzeki, hopefully enough people will slot through the feed chute to the prizes, and Nvidia will forget about closing down the manual downloads.

At least manual download still works for the 358.87 release.

    And, +125/325 OC works for 980m SLI-263 GT80.

    @Ethrem @Mr. Fox

After installing these drivers, my wife's Dell Vostro 5470 fans are always blowing at full speed. I didn't notice it the first day but now I do it's very annoying. Seems like they keep the GPU clock at full speed also even in 2D Mode so I uninstalled them and went back to the latest offered by Windows updates v353.62 and now the fans are back to normal.

It's getting as bad with NVIDIA drivers causing issues as it has been for a while with Windows Updates cancer causing problems. Cannot trust either of them to do what it best. They must be outsourcing updates and drivers to third-world countries or using monkeys from the local zoo to help defray operating expenses for such unimportant second-fiddle initiatives as drivers and platform security. After all, those make them no money, so they are a liability rather than an asset.

Man, what a bummer. NVIDIA is getting really bad. Welcome to my world. I cannot use anything newer than 345.20 with 780M SLI due to severe throttling, as you already know. It sucks when NVIDIA breaks their own stuff with messed up drivers and seems to absolutely not care. Now that GTX 980 is released, the functionality of 980M will soon be disappearing from their radar. Seems they only make an effort to do well with whatever new crap they are trying to peddle. As soon as something new is ready for milking, that's all they seem to focus on. Ultimately, there is a danger in having faith in any brand. We are a revenue stream, not a customer with a name and a face any more. That's the way the business world turns now. We are nothing but financial concubines... deceived by promises of sweetness, but swiftly unloved, inconvenient and worthless after the sale; until they are ready for another tryst with our money and then we suddenly become valuable to them again.

I'm really mad... I woke up to whistling coming from the video card... Putting it in SLI mode fixed it... for now... But it seriously sounded like wind blowing through my computer. Everything was dead silent except for the video card. Its always something with this machine isn't it? I should have traded this in for a P570WM when Sager was offering the chance...

Use ShutUp 10 to block device driver updates then DDU your current drivers and grab the 8.1 347.88 drivers... They work just fine in 10. Personally I haven't updated to 10 again just yet but all of my 8.1 drivers worked on 10 which is at least a step in the right direction after 98/ME -> XP broke drivers like crazy and XP -> 7 broke drivers like crazy... I never really had a problem with 8.1 when it came to driver support...

EDIT: Scratch that about the coil whine... when I fired up wPrime 1024M it came back... Its not as bad with SLI enabled but really nVidia? I either have to burn my cards with them in 3D mode all the time causing them to idle at 47C (they're at 33C and 34C respectively right now on 2D clocks) or I have to put up with coil whine? I never noticed it when Sager sent it back to me because I was using the new drivers and they pretty much never left base 3D clocks... Words can not express how mad I am at the moment.

That used to work before, not anymore bro. No registry trick or group policy editor rule or program is able to stop the forced driver updates. Unless you are running the latest drivers, Windows will download the latest one and install it and not even restart! as if it installed a simple program.

I feel so bad for you, you've had so many issues with your P377SM-A... My P377SM-A has been perfect since day 1 minus brightness control missing which Prema helped me fix, other than that it's been perfect and still is perfect.

I think that's the latest as per Windows 10, it didn't register the newer ones yet.

Proof, if I install the official driver from DELL for the Vostro 5470 which is 353.50, Windows update will automatically install 353.62 for me as well. So the later drivers aren't yet on Windows update.

Oh damm, I better be careful. Maybe it was a good move that nvidia will release drivers via GeForce Experience, so that new users can have their graphics destroyed with their drivers while I enjoy my old stable ones!

Man I've asked on every forum including MDL Forums which is full of people who know the ins and outs of Windows and noone provided me with an answer how to end this. This is my only issue with Windows 10, the automatic driver updates, the telemetry and privacy invasion, we already know how to stop those in the NBR Windows 10 Clean Install Guide. but the driver updates are a nightmare! They won't let us use the system the way we want.

Unfortunately, even the new build of Windows 10 which will be released sometime next week only has fixes for a few glitches which they made with their BETA OS but no mentioning of any control over the automatic driver installation! :(

Not true. Driver updates are optional, its the system updates that sneak through ... but if you just set it to metered, Windows goes back to normal with absolutely no side effects... I'm not saying I like 10 (I'm thinking about 10 but I really just don't want to put my laptop at risk) but if you set your connection to metered then it won't force any updates on you... supposedly anyway

That's why I bought a 3 year warranty... Things happen! And to be perfectly honest... Sager has given me some backlash on fixing things but when I fought my way through, they did better than Toshiba or Dell ever did...

Do yourself a favor and downgrade...
