Just FINALLY got a stable nVidia driver installed (361.91) and not really wanting to be the guinea pig on these ones as nVidia is having a very hard time getting it right lately. Patiently waiting for the discussion to bloom into accounts of the driver...

 

I'm downloading now, anything we're looking for in particular?

 

it says it's game ready for Gears of War Ultimate Edition.....does that mean it's near release?

EDIT: nope, still can't boot while the GPU is set to 120Hz.

I'm not being the Guinea pig this time... Its bad enough half my games won't run in full screen after the last driver... Someone else do it, I'm going back to 353.62......

 

Wonder if nVidia gonna release a new driver for The Division, or that which came for beta was it.

 

No connection in the driver department but considering the beta was a load test... I wouldn't be surprised.

 

Just wonder if I should update now, or wait for release of The Division. Then again, they both seem to work fine, so not sure I even have to. The last time I updated was for R6 Siege, and that driver didn't look like it brought some improvements in performance to my eye.

 

From one Fire Strike benchmark, compared to 359.06 and 359.12, it's within the margin of error. I'm sticking with 359.06.
I'm not interested in the newer games, so I have no need for 362.00.

 

So far, so good with this driver. SteamVR within margin of error of the 364 branch that has killed GPUs (I went from 9308 to 9300 points - that's basically no change) and just tried out GTA V and was actually pretty amazed at how well Rockstar optimized this game. Although the lag with the mouse cursor is irritating... I think I'll get the Xbox controller out for this one.

Also, this is by far the fastest driver I've ever used when it comes to MHO.

This one looks like a golden release so far. Temps are lower than normal too and its actually hotter in the house than usual (I generally have the laptop running in a 70F environment and its 78F right now).
