I highly recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode to uninstall the previous driver and get rid of all the current driver's file / registry remnants.

FYI, still no Fast Sync support for Maxwell. nVIDIA lied to us in the video they made recently saying that Fast Sync is also coming to Maxwell GPUs.
You can enable it with nvidia inspector just go to vertical sync option and select 0x18888888 -

LOL, from the nVIDIA Forums, a Pascal owner complaining:

I know I'm nitpicking a bit here, but if you can force it, that's part of the benefits of being on nVidia hardware. If this were AMD, we wouldn't get a chance.
Any word on if Fast Sync is going to happen for Kepler? I thought it would be Pascal-only and I was not certain how it'd play out.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
will see if it's worth the upgrade!

So are we good to go on this one? I am going to try it on my M17x R4 and 980M.

didn't have any issue with 1080 on w7, could be related to how nvidia handles dx12 in w10 that causes the dpc latency and extra compute time neededSpartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

i_pk_pjers_i Even the ppl who never frown eventually break down
This seems to say that there are no frame-pacing or stuttering issues or anything like that, and in the past Guru3D has tended to be pretty un-biased from what I have seen: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/fcat_geforce_gtx_1080_framepacing_review,16.html -
dpc doesn't always mean stutter, though in this case I can't really give comments because I'm not experiencing the high dpc myself -
How is this driver in bench?

Without optimizations. So pretty decent id say. -
We used to say, " if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but that's starting to look more like " if it ain't broke yet, wait wait for the next driver update" LOL. With the Pascal launch upon us the danger of Maxwell getting crippled by NVIDIOT cancer drivers is real. -

Definitely a solid driver. If anyone is on the fence I say get these installed.

Hi, I'm looking for some advice from someone who has experience with recent Nvdidia drivers:
As I have mostly played The Witcher 3 over the last year, but also some MGS V, my MSI GT72 2QE (980M, Windows 8.1) was kept on 355.82, the driver that was released as the Game Ready driver for the latter game. All in all, that driver has served me well.
However, now it's time to move on to more recent games and I'm wondering which driver version to update to. 368.81 is the most recent WHQL version and from reading this thread it seems to be a solid driver. I also understand that many see 362.00 as the "best" most recent offering from Nvidia. So my choice basically boils down to those two.
I would really appreciate some advice, maybe even from someone with the same or similar system specifications. Thanks a lot in advance. -
Thanks for the quick reply. 365.19 wasn't even on my radar.
