What NVIDIA Fast Sync for GeForce 900 series "Maxwell" GPUs means? Lower power consumption?

Getting worse performance with these than 372.54 in BF1 Beta. On both desktop and laptop. Going back.

some said that BF1 beta gains 10 fps more with these

I install every one as soon as GFE lets me know it's out. They all seem to work fine. Of course I'm not sitting here benchmarking I just play games.

I'm happy enough with 372.54. -
I have the feeling that 372.54 worked better than 372.70 on the GTX1070 mobile.

I'm your Guinea Pig this time bro
Fire Strike Stock graphics and 4.8 GHz
372.70 vs older 372.54 gives roughly the same Fire Strike score at around 12000P(slighly a bit better physics).

372.70 didn't allow me to adjust my display brightness so I went back to 372.54.. That works well enough in BF1..

Right, and next people will get banned when they detect the use of 'unauthorized firmware':
We should begin to question & control our own actions rather than wanting to control other people, calling it 'protection' and making the whole world paranoid while marching full throttle towards a dead end.
Already had to stop using Norton! It's useless for developer as it keeps sending all new code to their server and then simply deletes it unasked, because it 'MUST BE' malicious if 'less than 5 people in the world are using it'...

Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. I recently starting using TrustPort AV as a favor for our good friend @Phoenix and it's a solid product. But, for the most part, I have not used any "security" software for the past two or three years because the solutions affected my systems in ways that I felt the risk of using nothing was worth the reward. So far, so good, but the moment TrustPort does something I do not like or find inconvenient it will be gone and I will be back to using nothing.
Sound like sNorton has decided to act like crApafee doing the digi-nazi thing on you. I don't know what makes any of these retarded clowns think they have a right to make decisions on behalf of the world, but they've got another thing coming. It's that rogue behavior that made me decide using nothing was a better alternative. I've had fewer problems with malware than I have had with malware protection.
Honestly, I am never surprised when some stupid or filthy colon blow gets sent our way from the Green Goblin. They have been dishonest shysters for a long time. If these imbeciles keep it up with this kind of nonsense they'll end up cutting their own throats. That might actually be a blessing in disguise.Last edited: Sep 9, 2016ahmadmud, i_pk_pjers_i, Papusan and 2 others like this. -

@Prema
I stopped using Norton Security despite it being so light because:
1) it keeps bugging me to install the Norton Toolbar
2) in the GUI when I disable the useless Norton identity safe, it bugs me that it's even there when I don't want it and will never use it
3) they display functions of the higher Norton Security Deluxe that do not pertain to my license like the cloud storage which I don't want and don't ever want to see, if Iwantedthat junk I would've bought the higher license.
4) it has built in disk drive defragmentation that runs in the background which I don't need
5) it's installer has no custom install to get rid of the bloat.
God help anyone who uses that bloated piece of garbage which has great potential if it weren't for the bloati_pk_pjers_i, TBoneSan and Papusan like this. -
Norton has been filthy bloat for years now. About the time OEM's started pre installing it was when I had enough. Like brother Fox I've been freeballing for years now and have not had 1 virus... Which is more than I could say when I actually used virus protection. If you ask me they are all racketeering. They're like drug companies - if they do their job too well, the world would have no use for them.

I stopped using Norton about 6 or seven years ago when a bunch of us found it was keylogging and then running additional snooping atuff in the background. Dirty stuff. I use Avast now on a couple of my PC's just because. On my others I have nothing but defender.

The drivers are very stable. And love that they added FastSync to my 970m! I really notice the difference when I switched from V-Sync.
