It kills me that they release this to focus on all the great optimizations and gifts they claimed we would have for this game. But the previous drivers with hacked AFR for sli was more smooth .....do they even test this crap ? Can't wait till the day AMD blows them off the map

On a side note, all the other games they optimized do run much better , like titanfall 2. So I'm hoping it's Ubisoft. I disabled vsync in game and I'm now back to smooth in ghost recon

I do have Deus Ex, but wont touch doom anymore because the sli in that game is horrendous. Plus the version of vulkan they are using in doom doesn't support multi gpu.

I haven't had good luck with DX12 in BF1 so I have abandoned it but I can give it a shot.

Here is a side by side of BF1 sessions, DX11, the left is 378.49 and 378.78 is on the right. I'm fairly certain the in game settings and OC setting were the same.

Thanks. So the temps increased with less than substantial amount of perf increase in the new drivers?

I'm actually more interested in the perf increase (if there's any) in DX12 compared to the older drivers

I think Vsync may have been on in my previous post of this driver in DX11, I played 2 rounds, same map, same settings except DX12. Basically DX12 was not only lower in FPS but blurry too, it was as if Gsync was off. DX12 is dead to me now.

It's not really horrendous... you just need PCI/e 3.0 x16/x16 if you want to get a really good experience. And you can't use Nightmare Shadows either.

Guess what would fix this? XDMA

Guess what nVidia didn't use? XDMA

Guess what nVidia used instead? High Bandwidth Bridge

Guess what nVidia did with 372.xx and later drivers? Use High Bandwidth Bridge benefits into frame pacing and not into relieving problems like Doom.

    :>

    GTA5 and Just Cause 3 I
Have noticed significant FPS increase. Both have gains of 8-10 FPS. RIse of the tomb raider has actually loss FPS! Lol. Whether it's set to Dx11 or DX12. The older tomb raider has seen also nice gains of 8-10FPS. I also noticed gaming the CPU and GPU temps are lower also.

Another steaming pile from Nvidia... forced to update gpu driver by BF1, so installed this version, constant syntp.sys errors/crashes to blue screen then auto reboot.

    Was previously 100% stable.

    Where's the hotfix CrapVidia?

for those who had been using 378 drivers for a while now, which is the best of the bunch? I'm inclined with sticking to 375.95 for a quite a while but BF1 now requires 378 to launch the game

That's what has happened for me in the past when Gsync has been broken.
These days (past two years) I take the if it ain't broke, don't fix it approach. Especially since I've got an the old Shadowplay non-spy/login edition working and not trying to update.
