I wonder if this fixes the graphical glitches and G-Sync stuttering I saw in 385.xx and 387.xx drivers under FCU...but I am afraid to uninstall 382.90 because there are no graphical glitches with this one and GSync is working properly....as for now I think I will follow a simple rule: "If its not broken, don't fix it".

    @Prema @Papusan @Mr. Fox

Here's a bug I noticed in this driver and the previous one, when I installed it, I noticed that it didn't install the Vulkan Runtime Libraries which are necessary for some games that use the Vulkan API such as Doom for example.

After installing the driver, go to the nVIDIA Folder that was extracted, then into the Display.Driver folder and run VulkanRT-Installer.exe manually from there to install the Vulkran Runtime Libraries.

Why? Because classical nVIDIA Swiss Cheese

Why every driver release nowadays isn't compatible with AW laptops ? I know I will mod the inf file for my upgraded GPU anyway, but still when you read something like this on the driver release notes it gives me the creeps (-.-)

It is actually Nvidia's fault, since they have been trying to cull aftermarket eGPU/PCIe solutions.
The AGA , other the proprietary connector, is basically just a PCIe 3.0 x4 Port.
The fix that NVIDIA needs to apply every single time is proper PCIe detection/hot plugging bypass or something.

But, Dell can and should force/cooperate with Nvidia. Dell must have collaborated with Nvidia when they developed/forward this proprietary eGPU solution 2014/2015. They couldn't do it without help of Nvidia. This mess is as expected when I saw the AGA first time early 2015. Nearly a year used Dellienware on this mess before it worked about correct. No excuse for this driver mess. Dell ain't exactly a small backyard company.
And this AGA is why Dell is committed to providing continued Bios (firmware) updates on old eol Awbook's. Would never ever happen without this proprietary box.

So, this driver is for Dynasty 2, Assassin creed origin and Agents of Mayham? Does, that mean a new driver for Wolfenstein 2 will be released either Thursday or Friday? Not, to mention the AW fixes—if so I’ll skip this one

Dell can and should do a lot of things.. but then again, that would be in a dream land sort of world :p
But yeah with @Prema's BIOS this would be as easy as enabling a simple setting in the BIOS instead of relying on NVDIA/DELL or going through install/resintall shenanigans.

HeHe. But isn't Dell's firmware fully locked with secure boot? You will need the crypto key for flash mod bios?

Btw. We must be grateful (sarcasm) @Mr. Fox But how long did Adam live in paradise?

Yeah, there might be a solution to that ;)
Not an easy solution, but a solution none the less ;D
Shall know more in a week or 2.
AW's need a signed exe for the motherboard to go into authenticated BIOS flash mode. There are a lot of Intel Boot Guard shenanigans at play.

With newer drivers, VulkanRT is installed in stealth mode, so it does not appear in Windows Programs and Features. It can be removed using UninstallVulkanRT.exe in the installation directory.

Which apps do want to test? GTA V, W3: TWH, Watch Dogs 2 and 3dmark (I stopped using 3dmarking app). I will mainly test how fluid he game runs on my PC, so benching score isn't my priority, is that okay????

Do a diagnostic on GPU to see if its faulty or not? Did you try stock nvidia driver?

If this is a Zotac card, you need compatible MSI 1070n vBios as Zotac cards aren't meant to be used in laptops and weren't designed to handle signals to internal screens.

about guinea pig, 3dmark score is in margin of error and about the same percentage of previous drivers.
    https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/13951969/fs/13862102#
    387.92 vs 388.00 , CPU 4,3 vs 4,4 only physics score affected

Desktop 388.00 driver installed without mod on gtx1080 on Tornado F5, Win 7x64, PUBG and BF4 run really good

Don't use this on your R2, your have official drivers you can use, without having to modify the inf's and such.
Well, you can use them, probably but maybe the hardware ID's are different, I actually never checked myself personally, but if you could check your hardware ID in device manager and see if it is called 13D7 and the rest is the R2 and DELL's hardware part, just replace the line sin the inf that have 13D7subsys...05511028 as an example if they are different, with yours.

But I can not fathom why you would like to do this. Also not sure if the power reqs are the same. You might potentially get increased performance, if it then starts using more power, is your card a 4GB or 8GB card inside ? I think they are like 80W or soemthing the BGA versions... much more efficient then the 125W everyone else uses that are MXM 3,0B

Actually @j95 sent me some infs that were specific to BGA GPUs which ran great according to my testing. So, that's why I asked @j95 if the modded driver has those specific BGA Dell device IDs.
For the record, I have a BGA 980M 8GB GDDR5 122W GPU. I can OC it by 135 on core and 300 on memory with TDP of 130-132W (approx according to HWINFO sensors)

122W on 980m is too high for comfort. I have seen many of these die prematurely. This is most probably a modded vBios. What voltage are you running this at?

Well that's sad to hear it. Yeah I am using Prema's vBIOS. Even the stock vBIOS can take upto 110-115W, with Prema's I can OC and increase the input voltage supplied upto 37.5mV.
I think voltage is around 0.9-1.1V.

Hmmmmmmmmm ... Make sure than that all of your MOSFETs and memory are cooled properly.

At least this driver doesn't cause Adobe media encoder to crash when I try to load the app.

Yeah they are cooled properly. Max GPU temps during gaming 75C and on OC 80C. The temps are for 99% use on stock clock and OC.

Yeah, for the gpu cores. You don’t know temp for the rest on graphics.

@Vasudev what he said, I never mentioned core failure, but the commonly failing components with no temperature monitoring mechanism that heat up like hell especially on a modded vBios.

And since you are on a BGA machine, that means serious damage as the mobo has almost everything on it.
