I wonder how much money Intel paid NVIDIA for the cancer code to make the OS fail on machines with a ThreadRipper CPU and Titan GPU after installing this new driver, LOL.

Nice move from Ngreedia... Smack the door for 1070 in their nice advertice comparison. Can milk out more $$$ with 1070Ti instead of 1070. Put in TWO version of 1060 but forgot 1070. YEEES.

Did anyone check their performance improvement claims? I don't believe I have ever seen a driver improving performance by 50%. That makes zero sense unless the GPU was severely underperforming in that game to begin with.

A bit misleading. The 50% improvement in Destiny 2 is only on the highest DoF setting.

Download all my INF mods from here once it goes live.

    Code:
    # Download nvidiaProfileInspector from here only -> https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Orbmu2k/nvidiaprofileinspector/build/artifacts -> "export all customized profiles" -> leave unchecked "include predefined settings"
    # DDU
    # Disable driver signing
    # 7-Zip -> extracted driver package >> delete folders as shown above (don't skip this step) <<
    # Display.Driver folder -> copy only the corresponding INF file(s) below -> run setup.exe -> custom -> clean install option -> "Installation Successful” -> close installer.
    # nvidiaProfileInspector -> "import profile(s)" -> "refresh current profile".
    # Reboot
    # Nvidia Control Panel -> Change resolution -> "Use Nvidia color settings" -> Manage 3D settings -> Set Performance options.

No issues with the driver as of yet. I was forced to upgrade to finish Wolfenstein 2 after I updated it to v2.0. Not sure why it "requires" this updated driver, but I digress.

The main issue I'm having is that running Doom in Vulkan causes the game to freeze up every few seconds, as well as flickering on the loading screens and Steam overlay. I'm not even sure if it's driver related though because the Vulkan renderer in Doom has always been very hit-or-miss IME.

Not a huge deal anyway since OpenGL runs perfectly, but it does mean that I can't buy Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus since it only uses the Vulkan API, which is extremely stupid if you ask me.

Aside from that Vulkan issue, I'm still getting dust flickering on the Dust Bowl map in Battlefield: Hardline, and smoke flickering in daytime Prague sewers of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. But I'm pretty sure these are game specific issues since I've always had them in the past.

I have some stuttering going on in BF1 with this new driver. Wasn't there on 388.00. Back to the drawing board...

Things like this pretty much says they only tweaked for the beta and game ready drivers are a joke (always are) and they didn't tweak till after release or like most game ready drivers are just for advertising that the game ran fine on the current drivers or it has nvidia features/support etc.. or they probably did tweak it but never released it on game release.. who knows but seeing drastic number changes makes you wonder.

Don't get me wrong its nice to see game improvements but I just wish the same goes for all the other games they release, most of the time I don't see any noticeable difference between game ready and the WHQL before that or it breaks another game in the process.

Found a bug, HDR is broken again (not sure if it was ever really fixed). Desktop looks like complete crap with HDR enabled, but games appear to be fine. Very odd bug needless to say.
