If you dont mind me asking, how is the Clevo PEG driver different from the "Optimus" drivers?

As always...
XtremeG released it with modded drivers [Performance + Tweaks] as always
For Laptops:-

For Desktops:-

Same drivers. You only need different INF MOD (PEG or OPTIMUS/HYBRID depending on your setup) if the laptop is modded with graphics cards who isn't supported. Clevo PEG (iGPU is disabled).
-
@Papusan So PEG is for systems that have MSHybrid graphics switching that requires reboot and Optimus is, well when the Intel and NVIDIA GPU both are on?
-
PEG (iGPU is disabled). No Optimus Junk.j95, Vasudev and vIkInG_w0w like this.
-
In what way is the performance better?
What are the "tweaks"?Vasudev, 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 and jaybee83 like this. -

Ask them
I really don't know what they did but all I know is that they are modded drivers & they provide for me higher performance & FPS & higher OC Potential compared to the official ones
Also I use this modded driver with https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/nvslimmer.html
to have the best lightweight driver

Ok here is what they do on every driver
I got the list from there dead website
http://tweakforce.com by using
http://web.archive.org/
Any more information you want to know.. ask them..XG drivers are tweaked to improve image quality and stability while performance may increase or decrease slightly depending on your system specs. A few XG registry tweaks include mods to the following:
Paletted Textures In Video Memory
Render Quality Flags
Target Flush Count
Texture Clamp Behavior
Texture LOD Bias
Use Cached PCI Mappings
Texture Memory Space
Downloaded Memory Space
Texture Precache
UMA Fast Frame Buffering
Main 3D rendering
Triple Buffering

Most of them deprecated and not used anymore. I use nvi inspector to get enhanced quality and performance.Papusan, c69k, saturnotaku and 2 others like this.

I would never know...
Thanks for informing
! I also use nvi inspector too
but what about higher potential OC? I bet they do something on those .inf drivers to get higher OC than official ones
This list that I mentioned previously said registry tweaks only and not the other things that they did... so it is not telling the full story here...

I use pure desktop drivers for 980M and actually can do +200 on core and memory. On mobile/bga crap drivers I was limited to 150/300Mhz on core/memory and thermal throttle at 80C. With desktop I can go much higher with upto +50-125mV overvolting.Awhispersecho, 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9, hfm and 1 other person like this.

Same but on 950m GDDR5 4GB model
but still those modded drivers gives me +50~75 additional to the already OC'ed GPU
while on official ones I couldn't go over 300Mhz on core & 450Mhz on memory
of course with +75mv overvolted in all case

In nvidia inspector profile, switch CUDA P0 state to disabled to get full performance w/ boost clocks on Physx and CUDA Apps.steberg and 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 like this.

I'm trying new drivers now @Papusan
