Looks like they still haven't fixed issues with Witcher 3 ;-)

Today's notebook drivers for same hardware but in different driver package. DCH Junk on the left.
Yeah, it's Disgusting!!!
Exactly!!!

I don't understand all the hate for DCH drivers... It's the future requirement and Intel has already provided their own version and same will be true for AMD. True, it does not support older GPUs (and I understand that it will be disappointing for people who still use them) but it is natural to start dropping support for older hardware after some time. I know that my 1070 will be abandoned some day by Nvidia but by that time newer games will require newer GPUs and I can still play older games with older drivers ;-)
I am more concerned about actual issues with actual games, especially seeing that Nvidia still can't fix issues with very old games. Or issues with G-Sync monitors turning on/off (post #4 in official forums for this driver version). -

Nvidia Geforce 430.00 WHQL Driver WDDM 2.6 in Windows 10 1903 Insider Slow Ring
As reported in the forum of guru3d, this driver comes automatically. A user reports that the driver was offered after uninstalling the last hotfix driver. In the INF file the driver is issued with the date of 14.03. Certainly Microsoft wants to have the driver first put to the test before everyone gets it.
But why this version jump? Can actually only be due to the WDDM 2.6 support. But I am currently over-questioned. In a comparison has the peppercute created, shows that the driver is much better. On the left is the 430.00 WHQL in the picture. @Mr. Fox +++ You all want 1903?

Hi Prema, I have the alienware m17x r4 (2012) I would like to get your latest modified 980m vbios, I can't find it anywhere, I'm getting ready to install the Gtx 980m and get rid of my dying Gtx 675, will I need a modded driver or will the new driver work without mods, I have the unlocked A15 bios installed, thanks to Klem, with the newest nvidia drivers will I still need a modded driver? do I still need the modded vbios for the Gtx 980m, if so, I would gladly buy you some beers, just tell me how many beers you would like for your latest Dell modified Gtx 980m vbios, the Gtx 980m 8gb card I have has vbios 84.04.35.00.05, and a Dell part number of, 0G6RM3, I bought an all copper 5 heat pipe heatsink for the GPU from eBay, it's totally awesome, I did have to lap the heatsink as it was not quite flat and then I polished it, it's now perfectly flat, also bought the matching heatsink for the CPU, it has 4 heat pipes and upgraded the CPU fan that delivers 10.4 cfm, the original fan only delivered 2.3 cfm, the CPU I have is a i7 3940XM which I haven't overclocked yet, I don't know if the CPU matters for the Gtx 980m upgrade, my alienware screen is the 17.3 inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED, also do I use the mobile nvidia driver or the desktop nvidia driver? I have Windows 10 pro 64bit installed, I think it's build 1809, thanks premaLast edited by a moderator: Apr 10, 2019
