Na, it was i needed to mod the driver for my Device ID, no need to update from 1809, Here are my results thus far
https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/19027106/fs/19027049/fs/16574944/fs/19027174#
GPU score has increased but this was done with AB's OC scanner and +500 and +650 offset on Memory.
The 11,178 is my highest score but it has a low GPU score. Just about to test in-game play now.jaybee83 likes this. -

Here are some performance figures of Battlefield V with DXR on Low (unsure of the other settings but I'm guessing somewhere around High?) courtesy of @Talon. Surprisingly playable, on a laptop GTX 1070 at stock clocks no less.
-
Yea it's playable but not sure if you would want to play with DXR enabled on a large server ;-) Nvidia's own benchmarks show pretty poor results for non-RTX cards, would be interesting to see more comparisons from other sites.

Honestly when I tested it I was blown away with how well it actually ran on a laptop 1070. I was seeing on average around 50-70 fps with DXR low, high/ultra settings at 1080p on a full 64p Rotterdam server. It did have dips and hitches here and there, so for multiplayer I would not use this if I wanted to play competitively. However for single player campaign I see no reason why you couldn't aim for a locked 60fps experience with further tweaking and what not. I just jumped in and went to the most demanding map I know of for testing. That shiny marble floor is hella demanding even on low lol.yrekabakery, jaybee83 and Papusan like this.

https://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/19011465/fs/19038559 -
Yeah... but its really no big deal since most of us Kepler users stopped updating our drivers a while ago because its pointless as we wont gain any performance improvements
-
yrekabakery Notebook Virtuoso
Might suck for mobile Kepler SLI users since SLI support in newly released games is dependent on driver support. -
Nvidia seem to slowly discontinue support for SLI, the Metro Exodus does not have official support for it. People who have SLI cards can still make custom profiles.
-
yrekabakery Notebook Virtuoso
There are additional SLI optimizations/hacks in the driver besides compatibility bits. For example, even though you might use a custom SLI profile or copy the official profile from a later driver, it doesn't work on the older driver because the older driver lacks the optimizations for that game which were added in the later driver. -

Sooner or later I will release XG drivers [Lite & Debloated + Physx] today or tomorrow and will only be posted here...
http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/modded-nvidia-drivers-for-windows.826322/
Enjoy
Ok here is what they do on every driver
I got the list from there dead website
http://tweakforce.com by using
http://web.archive.org/
Any more information you want to know.. ask them..XG drivers are tweaked to improve image quality and stability while performance may increase or decrease slightly depending on your system specs. A few XG registry tweaks include mods to the following:
Paletted Textures In Video Memory
Render Quality Flags
Target Flush Count
Texture Clamp Behavior
Texture LOD Bias
Use Cached PCI Mappings
Texture Memory Space
Downloaded Memory Space
Texture Precache
UMA Fast Frame Buffering
Main 3D rendering
Triple Buffering
Here's what I observed comparing between official ones vs XG...
-Less microstutters
-Higher OC Potential (Gives me additional 50 ~ 90 MHz more OC) with the same overvolt (I use +75mv) going higher voltage gives me black screen
-Higher FPS [Not significant-(YMMV)] (due to less stuttering I guess you feel that you are playing at higher frame rate
)
-Less latency per a frame (Means smoothie gameplay)
-
What is the best to update driver
Should i using uninstaller. Or directly run setup.exe?

hacktrix2006 Hold My Vodka, I going to kill my GPU
This driver seems to love overclocking much better. I am still pushing my GTX1060 MXM card right now and getting some decent results. Playing games feels smoother whilst my low points are now even better.
Just ran a bench of FS and hitting constant 2063mhz on core and 2377mhz x4 which is 9.3Ghz with a GPU score of 14,130. Way better then the 13,000's I got with the other drivers.
Edit: for Firestrike score I managed to beat my all time best result is in signature used to be 11,178 it's now 11,206. Although same OC doesn't work on Timespy as it hits thermal limit according to GPU-Z so I am using Profile 4 which is OC scanner and a memory overclock.

I report the same thing.. I am now at +87.5mv overvolt on my GPU and it seems pretty solid and no more black screens... at previous drivers..I wouldn't even go over +75mv even at stock core & memory speeds! it is like my GPU couldn't deal with overvolt but now I guess drivers can play some factor when overvolting too!
Back to testing & squeezing another drip or two of performance!
I guess I'm gonna go for another milestone achievement after what I have done already so far
Proof that I can go +87.5mv overvolt without issues..
Remember this is not my final results.. needs more testing... right now I am testing how far I can go before entering the stability testing

Already doing stability tests on mine started on memory clocks first. Doing Core curve last.
However I do agree with you, that with the last driver the system either hung during OC scanning or the screen went blank during the OC scanning.
With this driver a few friends I have online have also installed the driver and noticed a 10fps uplift in some games too.

Edit: My current thus far overclock via Curve and Memory is in the thumbnail.
After all i am now not chasing Numbers on Firestrike TimeSpy 3DMark Vantage etc, also the temps are now using my normal fan curve rather then max fans.
Edit2: This is GPU-Z Sensor data during me playing BFV CQ 64 man
As you can see the GPU core is stable and yes i know its hitting a V.Rel limit but thats because i am asking it to do 2GHZ on just 130% Power which is just above or below 100w this is using the curve settings above.
Now normally with the older driver it would crash or arty, but with this driver it is not even doing that its butter smooth.Last edited: Apr 15, 2019j95, Papusan, 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 and 2 others like this. -

Yeah i tried 1803, broke my tobii and windows hello 1809 same problem so i gave up on it. Using windows 10 now only for gaming and benching, but over time i would like to migrate to Linux completely (if the 1080 drivers where better on linux i would've switched already) but Star Citizen is quite heavy on the hardware
so i'm just holding out a little more until vulkan support on Linux has surpassed how windows has adopted directx12. will take a long time, but not impossible.

Didn't you use proprietary drivers of nvidia in Linux? Functionally Redstones haven't changed very much.Rei Fukai likes this.
-
Yeah i tried, but it kept crashing and the latest driver dates back to 2017. Been running x-server driver ever since, but the performance is around a 1070/slightly Oced 1070 compared to 1080 drivers in windows 10.
I've seen people use DXVK to game on Linux and up till now performance seems to get better and better but i want to make sure i get equal gaming performance figures so with OCing i know for sure on linux it needs less tuning to get more points. Since my R4 getting linux to work right has been a pain in the ***. Won't give up though windows crashed my system two times while Ocing already, and the Redstone updates keep breaking windows hello (and tobii usage within windows) i use it while coding so my hands can have maximum engangement with the keyboard and less distraction)
Tips are always welcome ! -

That's better, no more nvidia nerfs to deal it. I'm using 391.xx drivers because 4xx turn up way buggier for users of Firefox and some old games. The downside of no driver update is, I can OC much higher than newest drivers.Papusan likes this.

Yet again! I tried Metro Exodus like you showed few threads back, I do have odd very high frametimes and 20 fps or even low stuttering for no reason. I tried Metro exodus with ultra smooth gameplay on WINE with some crashes on new driver. I can't even figure out what's happening. I tried Clean Install of Windows 19h1 and still the same issues. For now, Intel driver solved Optimus stuttering issues and maybe future updates may solve these issues.
Do you recommend using higher value for Pre-rendered frames? I tried stock, tweaked settings etc.. With 391.35 driver the frequency of stuttering is reduced by 5x but it stutters. Can you look at my Metro Exodus end result of benchmark set if I posted it here? As a test measure, even Sleeping Dogs gets stutters during Cutscene to actual game... Its been months I've been looking it w/o any answers!!!
TBH, I'm afraid of using WHQL driver and instead opt for Beta or non-certified driver over WHQL.
