Today we released a new Hotfix driver that addresses the following issues:
• Workaround to fix incorrect Folding@Home work units
• Random flashes in Just Cause 3
• Some issues that could lead to Battlefield 1 crashing
• SLI texture flickering in Battlefield 1
• Corruption in Wargame: Red Dragon game

Anyone with Doom 2016 having problems with the game freezing when trying to exit to the main menu or desktop when using the OpenGL renderer? Bringing up the task manager gets everything back. Vulkan works fine. This issue exists here and in 376.33 as well.

same here, OpenGL makes the whole GUI laggy. Stick to Vulkansaturnotaku likes this. -
My god, this stupid driver also fixed my random flickering, all issues in previous AC games GONE for good and my FPS in OW went up.
One hell of a hotfix I am tellin yasteberg and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

At least Vulkan is pretty well optimized for this game on NVIDIA hardware. The difference in performance is virtually nothing, a couple FPS at worst.

Going to stick with the 373.06 Until they fix the mess with DOOM. WTF Every driver is stupid.
I bet they are not going to fix the Win8.1 Fast boot issue. -
What Win 8.1 fast boot issue?
-
-
Ah... I keep hibernation permanently disabled by removing that file, so I never ran into this issue.saturnotaku, Spartan@HIDevolution and Ashtrix like this.

Try disabling steam overlay for doom only

Already did that. No success.

Please please please let this fix the BF1 crashing issue.
I'll install this tomorrow and report back.... -
What crashing issue are you having? Don't have any such issue here!
-
This was the first driver for me without flashing images with SLI enabled on internal 120Hz 3K screen in WD2.

Various ones... a few random hard locks, but mostly generic "BF1 has stopped working" errors. Sometimes after 10 minutes, other times I could play an hour w/ no issues. Sometimes every 5 minutes, annoying.TomJGX likes this.

Is this happening only in BF1? Or other games too?

Just BF1... pretty much the reason I bought this laptop.
I had tried every possible fix on the web, disabling Origin in game, playing in windowed mode, borderless mode, dx11 vs dx12, various Geforce drivers, turning vsync/fast sync on/ff, gsync on/off, deleting settings/profile files/folders, updated any outdated system drivers (chipset, sound, etc.), and some other things I can't remember.
Never tried setting CPU affinity.
Haven't played a really long session, but I *think* this hotfix might of fixed my crashing issue. In the 3 maps I played last nite, I made it through the entire game.jaug1337 likes this. -
Dear god.
What did they do to this driver?
I don't have low GPU and CPU issues with Crysis 1 on this one. W-T-F.
Alrighty then nVIDIA... continue pleaseD2 Ultima likes this. -
So here is what i noticed with this driver, no games crash. BUT the scores in 3D Mark are down by about 10-15%. Also higher clocks are much more stable while overclocking, but score way lower than slightly lower clocks.
I can go upto 2164 Mhz on my desktops 1080 without games crashing. But with the older drivers the max was 2139Mhz. But i keep it at 2126Mhz for 24/7 use with 376.19.
That Hot Fix seems to be great for gaming IMO. But not for ePeen points.Last edited: Jan 1, 2017 -
About time for lowering the benchmark scores with their drivers due the coming 1080Ti
TBoneSan and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -
Yeap i have a feeling its something related to that. Ill create a comparison link in another hour, its freaking stupid. The Card scores about 1000 less graphics points on 376.48 vs 376.19 , while running at 2164 @ 1.1.93 V. (using a custom vBIOS to rule out temp, voltage and power throttling, goes upto 1.2V unlike the stock that goes 1.093 max)
Heck even going upto 2202 Mhz doesnt make a difference. Clocks are rock solid, load is rock solid, voltage is static. Dont know the hell is wrong. Ill be installing Windows on a second drive to test out a super old driver, like 372.54.
Heck i haven't been able to cross 26000, unlike the initial 1080 FE , that did 26000+ @ 2114Mhz.
But at least i got this done :

I just wanted to let you know that I have the same issue with Titanfall 2. It crashes in campaign mode. I tried reinstalling, then tried Origin repair and neither helped. I was told tonight by an EA rep to run the game in safe mode with networking for 20 minutes or so and then go back to normal. He said that has fixed this issue. Now, I haven tried it yet and it honestly sounds like a load of crap but ya never know. I will be trying this tomorrow. Might be worth a shot. -
How are you able to run a custom vBIOS on your 1080? Do you know if there is one for the Asus Strix 1080 OC?? -
I'm running the Strix unlocked XOC T4 BIOS as the slave BIOS on my 1080 ftw Hybrid.
There are ones with unlocked power limit and temp limit as well for Strix OC cards. But the power doesn't go over 280w unless you do a hard mod. For the EVGA it's 300w.Last edited: Jan 2, 2017 -
Overwatch GPU temps - Clevo P670RS, same settings in game and in NVIDIA CP, FPS capped at 93
376.48 - 74C
376.19 - below 60C
...
Wysłane z Mi5 -
Do you have a link to that BIOS? Or is it just the stock BIOS of the 1080 Strix OC which I probably have?

Got it from here :

This is the link to the bios : http://overclocking.guide/download/...-strix-bios-improved-performance/?wpdmdl=2660
But do keep in mind, the voltages on this one are way higher than stock.jaug1337 likes this. -
I want a new driver today, period.
Slowly getting tired of modding .inf for KabyLake...and their internal beta driver crashes WD2 all the time. Well and 3DM benches are never getting validated with hot-fix or beta versions...
Last edited: Jan 8, 2017 -
same problem. i don't know why 3dm doesn't stay on top of this.
-
I have been using 376.19 . Thats the only one recently, that scores well and has been stable with games. This Hotfix driver definitely is stable, but the performance is about 5-10% less.Last edited: Jan 9, 2017Prema likes this.

Did you make sure Max Fans was being used so that somehow your fan curve isn't causing this? Because that's too large a difference.
-
Nope, I've not heard any difference in noise fan. It was Clevish noise, as usual
-
Well... go test.
-
Didn't have a chance to play an extended session until today... and guess what?! No crashes. I've never been able to game this long w/out some sort of crash.
I know there is another hotfix out, but I'm finally happy and am not moving from this driver for a while.
