    Anyone else getting the "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during PREPARE_ROLLBACK operation". Error when trying to update to Creators? might try a fresh install next.

    1) Disable your AV
    2) Remove all customizations done by tools like O&O ShutUp10 or Spyboat Anti-Beacon and the likes
    3) try again [IMG]

    The Hardware ID for ASUS laptops is missing in this driver so it has been added manually :rolleyes:

    It was missing in the last whql, so I assumed the hotfix would include it. But Manuel said it wasn't and it will be in the next; irritating....

    Lul. I am amazed you believe Manuel. He said the team was looking at removing the extra crap for SLI in the notebooks years ago. They know it takes reboots to enable/disable SLI etc. They don't care.

    Just use J95's desktop driver mod. He probably has one for ASUS.

    wow!

    3DMark isn't detecting my hardware yet but it surprisingly beats my old GPU scores with less OC.

    http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/12255899/fs/12335517

    4.0GHz -> 4.0GHz
    381.65 -> 381.78
    Windows 10 14393 -> Windows 10 15063

    Edit:
    Windows 10 Creators:
    Geforce 381.78

    Stock GPU score: 17,716
    OC'd 250/500: 19,554
    OC'd 260/500: 19,629

    Do not compare scores done by EARLIER 3DMark versions vs. Newer or opposite. Futuremark have had a lots of problems with latest software. The result will be wrong :cool: (Use same 3DM GUI Version if you shall compare results with different drivers or OS build)

    Welp I didn't even see them update the UI version (must have slipped when steam was updating within the last 5 days) but nonetheless I know that the GPU scores will be slightly higher on the Creators Update because I knew someone with the same laptop and was comparing scores while he was on the Insider Preview on the same version of 3DMark.

    Very true. AMD driver did the job and improved scores in 3dmark and games after each update. Nvidia instead borks up good GPU.
    @Papusan: I am very pleased that you used the word Crematory update instead of PC/Mac/Laptop Grave update.

    Yes there is a bigger chance for more crippled Nvidia drivers, when M$ push out new Beta. Sorry I meant Alpha build :oops:

    LOL, I thought Nvidia stopped making Drivers, Windows takes permanent care of it with forced auto updates right ?, haha. With creators update castrators abortion, Ngreedia stopped beta drivers thanks to Microsh4t all are beta alpha followed by hotfix betas now, yay just like M$ garbage !! & GeForced Experience, what''s that :rolleyes: ;) ?

    & Here I'm still running with my trusty old driver from October 2016 haha :eek: :p :cool:
    Who runs 8.x anyways, it's trash (which it isn't and way better than 10 and 7, at-least it supports hassle free installation and full user control on latest HW, well until now M$ shafted it's consumers by blocking the CPUs to force to the latest garbage) ? but running winblows eternal alpha LUL..

    i still notice that non-compliant/compatible cards don't get auto-updated.
