Hey everybody, I was just wondering whether or not one nVidia 7950GTX will be able to handle EVERYTHING that I throw at it, meaning Crysis, Oblivion, Prey, and games like that on fairly high settings. I really need to get good FPS. If not, I know that the two 7950GTXs with SLI will be able to handle it... the only problem is, its a $400 upgrade. What are your opinions?

Oblivion and Prey should be able to be maxed out.

Crysis? Mediumish-High maybe. Who knows, its not even out yet and neither are the official system requirements.

So they should be able to be maxed out with just one 7950?

yea, the newest games would be at max settings with a single 7950GTX... easily.

SLI (depending on which games that will utilize it) would gain about 30-40% in performance, which is usually not worth it for the performance/cost ratio... although if you have the budget for it, then go for it.

Go the the Sager/Clevo sub-forum, many have gotten a notebook with single 7900GTX or 7950GTX.. there are many good gaming impressions in there to read.
