I just updated my drivers to the latest ones.....big mistake. the drivers wont operate like the old ones did. and my 3dmark05 score went down to 1769. I cant even start or run BF2.
I tried to uninstall the drivers but i get an error message, and it dosnt uninstall the driver completely. it dose uninstall it but not completely. when i try to install the older drivers i get an error message that i already have newer drivers installed, and it wont install em. is there a utility or something i can use to COMPLETELY uninstall my stupid new drivers? because i dont fancy doing a complete harddrive reformat![]()
Driver Version: 87.25
thanks

I'd try Driver Cleaner:
http://www.drivercleaner.net/
You can see how to use it here:

Did you uninstall your old drivers before you installed the new ones? -
yes. i completely removed my old ones(84.21) from Add and Remove Programs in the control panel. then i installed the new ones (87.25). i tried 3dmark05 to see if there was any performance improvement. but instead i was shocked by scoring only in the 1700's. so then i thought that maybe powermizer was on or something. so i double checked everything...it was all on defualt. next i ran FarCry and it was freezing alot. every 5~6 second i would get a 1 second 'freeze'. so i tried uninstalling the drivers....with no luck.
i will try the utilities.....thanks chaz! -
ok problem fixed.
i used that driverhaven utility and it uninstalled the new faulty drivers. now im back on 84.21 and they work great!!
thanks again Chaz! -

No problem; it's odd that it would mess up your system like that to begin with - glad to see the driver utility worked.

i see you have fixed the problem already but there is an easier way to fix this type of problem.
on my nvidia i had the same problem, all that you have to do is to a System Restore. Start > programs > accessories > System tools > System restore, all that you have to do is then select a date that is previous to the instalation and all the new stuff if gone and the old drivers are already reinstalled and everything. all that it takes is about 5 minutes(depending on the computer)
it also works for all divers, so if you install bad drivers again it is very easy to undo it
just one more way, fast and simple. -
thanks for the tip heyu, but the thing is that i disabled my system restore function. i think its just worthless (never fixed my problems before) but thanks for the tip anyways
(whats with nvidia and their drivers anyway?one driver works perfectly while another dosnt????????)
