I am not risking my Alienware 18 with Windows 10. It's gonna stay on Windows 7

Was getting weird intermittent screen going black, audio stuttering and then the game recovering with the previous drivers. Hopefully this will resolve that.

Seems to be how Windows 10 deals with the graphics drivers crashing and recovering

    Hey guys.
When I install a new driver from nvidia what do I need to install just to make the driver work without all the other crap.

    Example:
    Graphics driver
    3d vision driver
    HD audio driver
    Miracast virtual audio
    Nvidia gforce experience
    Physx system software

I don't even have gforce experience installed as I don't like it so I know I leave that one out.
I don't have 3d screen or is 3d vision driver for 3d games in general.
    I have sagar np9377 wit 980m sli.
    And Windows 8.1 pro.

    What do you guys install.?
Just the graphics driver and physx. ? Or do I need all that other stuff for the driver to work proper .?

Firstly, make sure you use Display Driver Uninstaller to fully delete the old driver and all of its file/registry remnants.

Secondly, You only need the Graphics Driver and PhysX. If you are planning to connect your computer to a TV via the HDMI cable, then you also need the HD Audio Driver

To be honest with you, the only thing that I uncheck is the 3D Vision Driver since my laptop doesn't have a 3D Screen. Leave everything alone it's not like it's going to do any harm. Offcourse if you don't like GeForce experience that's another matter and is a personal preference but I like it as it allows me to quickly configure the optimal settings for all my games with one click.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

    I'm installing right now .
    I have 8.1.
    Will play some gta5
And batmam and maybe a few others and will post back how it works for me.

    Edit: installed no problem.
Edit: ran through 3d mark fire strike without issue. I never keep track of scores so can't compare from previous driver. I will start keeping track now so I can compare next time.
It says graphics driver not approved. Whatever that means.
Probably haven't updated 3d mark yet or something.
    Score was 13419 .
I have everything still stock the way it came from sagar. When games start going below 60 fps I will start overclocking.

    Edit again:
    Ran 3d mark 11 performance.
    P15178 no problems there either.

    Edit : ran heaven benchmark.
    Fps 92.0
    Score 2318
    Min fps 27.7
    Max fps 192.0
    No problems there either.

OK time to play some games.
45 minutes of gta5. No problem

Laptops no showing any signs of wierd behavior so far.
