Can this graphics card handle most games at high? (Battlefield 3, starcraft 2, etc) To those with a 650m graphics card, are you satisfied with it?

I have a 650m in my Alienware M14x. I'm satisfied with it. But then again, I mostly only play TF2 and Eve Online. For both of these games, all of my settings are maxed out.

Depends on the resolution you play on. On my Clevo W110er equipped with 650m gddr3, I can max out all settings except for AA and physx for some games at 1366x768 resolution. From what i've seen, BF3 and SC2 are also CPU dependent, more so in SC2 not really sure about BF3.

mostly medium if you value your framerates. When I had my 650m I played bf3 with high texture quality, medium everything else.

no prob. I was actually impressed with the performance for being an affordable mid range card. Most games run fine on high, except the more graphically intensive titles like crysis, bf3, metro 2033, and the witcher 2. It's a good card, but make sure it'll be enough performance before biting the bullet... you won't be able to upgrade your gpu later. good luck!

Even the DDR3 version of GT650m is a decent mobile GPU.

:p I'd love to get the 680m, but it's just way too much money.. As long as this laptop can handle applications as intense as BF3, I think it'll be great!
