Hi, I'm not so pro on graphic cards, but how come my laptop's graphic card is called the nvidia geforce 9300m GS 256mb, but when I scan it with things, it always says that it has 1.2gb of memory?

It's probably sharing the memory with your RAM.

Something like, if a program needs more than 256MB of video ram, then the graphics driver will overflow the data into your system ram which is, 3GB is it?
