I couldn't say if the specs are right, but the date probably is. nVidia has stated sometime before/during the GF8 release that they would be doing a year cycle. So it makes sense that the GF9 series would be coming out in Nov.
That 9800GTX makes my 8800GTS and 8600m GT(that I don't have yet) cry![]()

I doubt they would be delayed, and if they were, no way it would be that much, unless they were purposely giving ATi time to strike back.

if i remember correctly, back in the day of the Radeon 9 series. nvidia came out with the fx series and it absolutely sawked. then nvidia released its Geforce 6 series and dominated the Radeon for a while. they introduced new shader technologies and was a big hit. then ATI came out with the X*00 series and it completely dominated nvidia. then after that nvidia introduced SLI. of course kicked ATI's butt. then came crossfire, geforce 7 series. Radeon 1k series, geforce 8 and now once again nvidia is releasing a new technological lineup with new features and it is only time for ATI to strike back. its just the way the war is going. back and forth. Nvidia may take, or has taken the lead, and then ATI may eventually take over. i really dont see what the big deal is. well i do but im not that outrageously overwelmed with joy. but what i am excited for is that these 2 companies are trying their hardest to come out with the fastest products on the market. therefor in result, us as consumers get great products that can crush games with AA, and AF that was unheard of 4 years ago. just a thought.

They dont even wait for your thermal paste to set in before they release the next gen now...

I bet you will still need SLI to play Oblivion w/ texture mods at high res lol

I take it that by this announcement the 8 series is Nvidias testing ground for DX10 since they're not up to snuff, thus releasing a DX"10.1" compliant card.
-
Well, the 8 series was released about 17 months after the 7-series. It wouldn't be a too far a stretch to see that happening again.

for those of you saying the poor people who bought the 8800....sort of contradicting yourselfs arent you? lol
i mean if you can afford to dish out $400+ for a video card...you are not very poor. or am i out of my mind? lol -
