Yes I saw that, no worries, I already threw my laptop out the window and ready to join the sh**-team of nCr**ia-BGA-intelia-illuminati group.

edit: I lost my cool, cba to revert back, no issues thus far, seems the faulty driver was XTU being a pain in the ass, reinstalled it

Nvidia has started the downgrade of current/old graphics in good time before their next graphics will be released :) Either kill former graphics with *decent* drivers or crippling the performance :D

I'm rolling back to previous drivers as well

GPU fan is spinning more frequently ever since I'm on this driver, and I'm not even doing any gaming

Not having any more of this sh**.

DDU bombed my whole PC, re-edited my vBIOS and installed 376.33 as it was the most consistent driver.

Yeah. The past year (2016) has not been a good year for nVIDIA drivers.

Yep, it may indeed just kill weaker cards...

This is a Eurocom Tornado F5 1080 (MSI) after using this driver:

    T5.jpg

This is a P870DMx 1080 (CLEVO) after using this driver:

    P8x.jpg

Different (v)BIOS (both stock), different MXM manufacturer, different Notebooks, but same driver & end-result...

Yup, looks like the Green Goblin is back their shenanigans with cancer drivers.

Here is my Tornado F5 with this driver. BUT, I will probably get rid of it just to be safe.

Done! Gone! DDU'd into oblivion. Now I will have to delete my W10 and W7 images and make new ones (they both had this driver). Thank God I had not updated the GeFarts drivers on Alienkiller II yet.

Few people are saying that after installing these drivers they no more could use acceleration with SVP (Smooth Video Processing video playback). So they had to revert.

    Not only past year.
Drivers from Nvidia have been a Mess since Nvidia first time pushed out drivers who disabled overclocking of GeForce GTX 900M graphics early 2015. Equal 2 years now
Yes my post #24 is still valid :) http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/nvidia-geforce-drivers-378-49.800767/page-3#post-10445169

I deleted my good image backup that had 376 drivers. Reinstalled both Linux and Windows and imaged them afterwards with 375 driver, so far so good and better than latest GeKiller drivers that are WHQL certified to bork your PC into oblivion.

To me it seems to date back to Nvidia dropping their Verde Driver Program. This applied to all laptops and you had to click through a disclaimer. This clearly stated 'at your own risk, unsupported'. It even went as far as recommending sticking to your OEM driver.

When they moved them into the supported drivers NV tried to lock laptops down. Far easier to support. All the OEM's hid the fact they knew this was happening when the stuff hit the fan and NV backed down... thankfully. But they are overstretched, hence all the bad drivers IMO.

I like how WHQL has had absolutely zero meaning with nVidia since late 2014.
