DCH is the Windows future method of drivers but for now I would stick to normal if anyone was wondering.

DCH is apparently the new UWP-esque driver install that intel has transitioned to in November. Standard is just that, the standard drivers that we have come to enjoy/hate

Thanks :) That's what I'm planning to do ;) but of course after testing it by myself in case if there's something wrong :) before putting it here

I don't want to be a reason for someone's problem :) although through experience I never got any issues from XtremeG modded drivers for over 2 years now ;)

If Sora, the GeForce shill troll, is warning people not to install it, it must be really bad.

I don't use hotfix drivers from NVIDIA. I've never had a reason to. I just wait for a "normal" driver that fixes the problem or, even better, just keep using older drivers that perform better.

There really isnt any "normal" drivers, if you mean WHQL then thats just Microsoft's paid seal of approval. Hotfixes are fixes added on after a release that may have caused issue with "normal" releases. Say a game ready driver comes out and a lot of people are complaining about something, if its really serious then they will fix it and release a "hotfix".

Yeah so WHQL takes some time to do. Nvidia sends it in to Microsoft, microsoft tests in in their labs, gives the okay, you get WHQL signed drivers. By that time there will be various branches already made like hotfixes/beta drivers.

Now I could change the name but why do that when they're not WHQL? Nvidia likes to name things so it looks good. Just like how drivers from MSI's website =/= MSI optimized or thoroughly tested, just means that was the latest at the time and if lucky they will release another WHQL.

Now drivers can be "signed" but its not necessarily WHQL, could be Beta. Ones that are unsigned gives you that unsigned driver warning on installation or you have to boot with "Windows 10: Disable Signed Driver Enforcement"

I know it takes a little bit of getting used to but thats how Nvidia has been doing since the beginning :D

It depends on the benchmark and the OS. It varies. The best all-around drivers for W7 and W10 are 388.31 and 388.71, but I am also having good results with 416.34 on both OSes. In all cases, I use only @j95 driver mods with all of the cancer and bloat stripped out. None of the telemetry and GFE bloatware filth is allowed to reside on my systems. Currently triple-booting my desktop.

WHQL certification has never been something I value. In fact, in most respects I have contempt for it. I view it as just another means of extortion by Micro$haft pitched under the guise of "security" LOL. Driver Signature Enforcement also sucks. Disabling that is one of the first things I do during Windows setup, along with disabling UAC.
    Code:
    bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

    bcdedit /set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

    bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING ON

    bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
Universal Watermark Disabler by PainteR takes care of the watermark nonsense for good.
    upload_2018-12-3_8-55-41.png

As far as 3DMark goes... HWBOT doesn't require WHQL drivers and will accept 3DMark validation links that have flags for drivers, so we don't have to worry about 3DMark "validating" the submissions based on drivers. But, it does matter if you want your benchmarks to show up as valid on the 3DMark searches or if you want them to appear in the Hall of Fame (when they are high enough to qualify).
