    Does ATI have a similar technology? And also I thought nvidia offered something similar to optimus for their desktops?

    I don't think so, but it would be silly for them not to be developing their own equivalent.

    Think they have a similar tech, but not as seamless.
    Dont think Nvidia will bother doing Optimus on desktops.

    Maybe when the release ATI Mobility HD 6000 series or their fusion CPUs.

    nVidia has hybrid SLI but that and Optimus aren't that great yet... maybe a few more months and the hardware and software will work better and be seen in more computers.
