Today, I was just going to play BF3. But when I did, everything lagged, and sound was producing a sort of techno "bzz" sound and an electric glitch (?)
I checked afterburner, GPU was under utilizing (not 99% usage, very low spikes up to 70%)
Reinstalled 306.97 WHQL and the problem persists, not only with BF3, also with furmark, I get like 98% (which is impossible during a furmark run)
Reinstalled realtek audio driver from ASUS website (uninstall -> safemode, ran driver sweeper -> reboot -> reinstall)
Problem still goes on /:
-Reinstalled both drivers
-Ran MSE twice (full scan)
-Triple checked power manager and MSi AB settings
-Repair install trough Origin
-Nvidia control panel selected nvidia GPU for bf3.exe
-Restarted multiple times
-Deleted bad F@H client work (maybe)
What do I do now?
EDIT: MPC-HC also has problems even with xy-VSFilter plug in

when you get the bzz sound, does your game also freeze causing you to restart the computer? That was a pretty common problem with BF3/realtek sound cards and the only sure way to fix was to use a USB/non-realtek sound card. I was able to fix it myself by reinstalling windows and didnt have a problem after that.

I can continue playing the game but it lags so much and the sound distortion is extremely annoying
Do I really need a reinstall? -

have you checked your DPC latency?
-
How do I do that?

with DPC Latency Checker. you should see no sudden spikes and everything should stay green and below 500us.

How do I fix this? -

download LatencyMon and let it run for a minute or two. then check to see which service/driver is causing the biggest latency. in my case, it was "mostly" related to network drivers, so i started from my wireless (Intel) and wired (Realtek) network drivers and updated them. then i disabled Green Ethernet and Energy Efficient Ethernet in Device Manager for Realtek Gigabit Ethernet controller. it became much more manageable after that. oh, and i have completely uninstalled all my Realtek audio drivers and am using Microsoft's generic Windows 7 audio drivers.

Can I use the windows disc to repair the problem? -

looks like the network driver is causing it (just like mine). try updating your drivers, and maybe disable Wireless or Ethernet one by one to find out which one is causing it...

I can only disable LAN internet (cable), I'll report back later if the problem persists.
Also, furmark was running at 6FPS stable but there was pauses in the animation
So the donut rotates but freezes every five seconds for about half a second before rotating again
EDIT: Disabled LAN, DPC now temporarily fixed. Furmark is still underutilzing though (94-98% GPU usage during burn in)
