    nVidia defective cards still shipped???

    Is nvidia still shipping defective chips or are they shipping fixed versions of the G84 and G86

    AFAIK Nvidia has essentially denied that there are more than a very small number of defective chips to begin with

    Asus has said the new ones (from arround february) are fixed.

    I'm surprised the Dell announcement didn't say which M1330/1530 units are affected (based on when they were shipped). At the very least, it would have calmed the nerves of M1330/1530 owners who received their notebooks after February.

    That doesn't mean anything though. I bought my C90S in september and the card was manufactured in March.

    By the looks of it the Dell defective GPUs only started affecting the Vostro 1510 series, my older 1500 dating from november last year doesn't seem to be affected nor have I seen symptoms of GPU failure.

    I know there are a lot of computers affected by this but I think that it has been blown out of proportion somewhat.
