The only Nvidia product I've ever owned was an integrated MX440 from yonder years. Since then, I've only had ATI graphics.
I've always hated Nvidia's and many Nvidia fans sense of superiority over ATI. Which is just not true at all and led Nvidia to becoming overly complacent.
Ever since ATI released the 4xxx series and surprised everyone, they've been struggling to catch up, so these "low blows" are no surprise to me...

Optimus driver is limited to certain primary video cards
NVidia have limited their Optimus driver to only work with a 4500MHD, Intel HD or X3150 (Pine Trail) video cards, based on a PCI ID scan as explained here. Means users with other primary video cards doing a DIY VIDock don't get the 20-333% faster DX9 performance NOR the transparent rendering using the internal LCD option. -
Someone make me a list, of all the games Nvidia is accused of influencing against AMD.
All I ever hear is Batman or Assassin's Creed. -

something like that... everytime i connect to HDMI , the screen becomes small so i have to change the scalling and it resizes properly... super irritating.

I believe it's that alquaida guy with Rosie O'donnell's face.
I've grown accustomed to it.
on topic; my experience with nvidia graphics cards in the past has been they run hot, and often new drivers break old games or are often buggy. I never had such problems with intel or ATI graphics. -
same here.. I as a matter of fact join usapatriots Death to NVIDIA club! I just hate NVIDIA...

So you would prefer to have an AMD who released new graphics products at half the rate they do now and charge a lot more for them? That is of course unless you prefer to stick with the awesome Intel graphics.
-
still cheaper and better than NVIDIA and not to mention non overheating... as for intel , i'll stamp on their crappy IGP's.. nver ever want to game on them in my life.

AMD explanation how pathetic Nvidia is, this is just so low, it's actually unfair to Nvidia users also who don't have GTX 480 for example.
Sad part is, some sites that aren't as reputable as HardOCP like Guru3D, pcper and benchmarkreviews will probably comply and gladly do anything Nvidia asks of them.
But what does this tell me about Ubisoft? I don't think they care they are screwing over anyone with AMD and anyone with Nvidia less than a GTX 480/GTX470. They simply don't care about PC. As long as Nvidia lines their pocket with money, they are happy, probably think they make more money by by partnering with Nvidia than from gaming sales by making ridiculous statistics on sales loss on piracy. Ubisoft, good riddance. I doubt Ubisoft would give a second though to forcing PC Gamer's hardware to throw away 75% of tessellation process for nothing. Probably still upset over their asinine DRM for AC2. -
Nvidia won't give TechPowerUp.com a GTX 580 for review.
Coincidence that TechPowerUp.com was one of the review sites that chose not to include the overclocked EVGA GTX 460-FTW when they reviewed the new HD6800 cards?
Or business as usual for Nvidia?

I assume these types of things from manufacturers.
I've definitely always assumed that nvidia was evil, at least... -

They aren't upset at all, they are imposing the same DRM on HAWX 2.
Like sean said, you have to slide it to 0% to get rid of surrounding black bars when using a HDTV, but that's not the issue. The issue (I found in 10.9) is that on reboot, it wouldn't save/keep the adjusted setting (or fail to load) and you'd have to do it again. That's annoying and I went back to 10.6 Leaked. 10.10 is a good one and I am running that now without the scaling issue.
