hi i have the vaio AR61E

please bare with me as i dont really understand how it all works and am just guessing mostly

the laptop has the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT , which i believe according to the NVIDIA website is capable of 512MB

however the laptop itself restricts it to 128, or only dedicates that much to it...as i said i dont know how it works

if i have got the jist of it correct is there anyway of increasing it from 128 to something higher, by dedicating more memry or somthing

cheers, sorry if i seem like a noob!

As Nvidia states in their website, the GeForce 8400M GT might be capable up to 512 MB, it doesnt means you will get 512.

And no, you cannot increase the memory or allocate more memory to it since it is not shared, it is integrated.

Tried searching the forums yet? Search terms like RivaTuner and nTune should turn up a few results.

Use Rivatuner to overclock your graphics card, but don't overclock it too much, since you only have a notebook
    (heh just stated the obvious)
