my notebook gpu seem to overheat like crazy and blue screen's all the time when playing games. the built in nvidia control panel will not allow me set the GPU fan speed and I was hoping ATI tool would but it seems to have no option for that.

Get RivaTuner, lots of people on this forum use it and it has an option to offset your GPU temperatures.

I think the best solution for overheating problems is buying a notebook cooler, if you constantly run your laptop fan at full speed it will reduce the lifetime of your laptop...

My GPU isn't overheating BUT it gets really hot, so i want to reduce that temperature => I'm gone get the zalman cooler for my G1S

That's the only program I know of that will control a Dell's fans.

I recommend that you clean out your E1705 - see our cooling guide. Also, as noted a cooling pad would do a lot for your temperatures. The Zalman ZM-NC1000 is regarded as the best 17" notebook cooler.
